Amazing thing we learned from working with Alex Honnold on @whoop is that he gets an outlier level of REM sleep every night. 5+ hours of restorative sleep between REM sleep + SWS. Studies show a high amount of REM sleep decreases your amygdala response (aka fight or flight).

Steps now on @whoop…Why did I change my mind on Steps? (admittedly I spent a decade bashing the metric 😬) 1. Research now shows that step counts over 8200 / day lowers risk for variety of chronic diseases and obesity. 2. Members really wanted it. 3. We can measure Steps AND Strain. It doesn’t need to be an OR. Members who want it can use it, others can remove it. 4. I got tired of hearing that people would wear another device in addition to @whoop solely to get Steps which is a lousy member experience. Should be a net positive. Enjoy 👊🏼
