Focused. That's the canonical state for sharing a tweet because it shows the full date, view count, and bookmark count, all of which are relevant context when a tweet is reshared. The timeline view (the in-feed look with a relative timestamp) is what fake-tweet-maker defaults to; pick that page if you want the in-feed look.

What about quote tweets - do they render with the quoted tweet inline?

Yes. If the source tweet quotes another tweet, the renderer embeds the quoted tweet inline above the engagement row, matching how X displays it. The embedded card shows the quoted handle, name, verified badge, relative date, body text, and any attached photos. Quote depth is capped at one level (the quoted tweet's own quoted tweet, if any, is not rendered).

Does the export look exactly like the tweet on x.com?

Close, not pixel-perfect. The card uses Inter as a substitute for X's Chirp font (which is not licensed for third-party use), and the layout approximates the X interface as of May 2026. The text, handle, avatar, timestamp, and metrics come from the live tweet.

Yes. The Resolution picker offers 1x, 2x, and 4x. The 2x export reads sharply on most modern displays. Pick 4x for print mockups or detailed video editing. The dimensions of the card stay the same; the PNG just contains more pixels per inch.

Why didn't the tweet load?

Most failures are because the tweet is deleted, the account is private, or the post is region-restricted. The page only reads public metadata, so private and deleted tweets cannot be rendered. If you're sure the tweet is public, double-check the URL is a single-tweet status link, not a profile or thread URL.

Does the tweet image include images and video thumbnails attached to the tweet?

Photos attached to the tweet do render. Video thumbnails currently do not (the renderer focuses on the text-card layout). For multi-photo posts, the first four photos render in the standard 2x2 grid, matching x.com.

Can I edit the rendered tweet?

Not on this page. This is a faithful renderer of an existing tweet. If you want to change handle, text, or metrics, use the fake tweet maker. If you want a blank card to caption, use the blank Twitter post template.

The image you generate contains the original tweet's content, which is the original author's intellectual property. For commentary and news use, fair use typically applies. Can I hide the likes, replies, and retweets in the image?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Switch Engagement counts to Hide and the action row disappears from the card, leaving the text, author, and date. Useful when the numbers are low, outdated, or just not the point of the share.

What's the difference between Tweet to Image and a screenshot?

Accepted Answer

Screenshots include browser chrome, anti-aliasing artefacts, and your local theme. The renderer here produces a clean, deterministic PNG at any resolution, with consistent fonts and theme.
