Twitter Shadowban Test

Free shadowban checker: see if your X posts still show up in search

If your engagement suddenly dropped, a shadowban is the first thing to rule out. This test checks the measurable part: whether your recent posts actually appear in X search results, the way they would for a normally-visible account.

Enter your handle below. You'll get a verdict plus a per-check breakdown, and we're honest about the limits: this is an indicative test based on public search behavior, not an official signal from X.

How the shadowban test works

  1. Enter an X handle (like @yourname) or paste a profile URL.
  2. Profile check: the account must exist and be public.
  3. We fetch the account's most recent posts.
  4. Search visibility: a from:handle search runs, and we check whether those recent posts surface in the results.
  5. Verdict: Visible, Possibly restricted, or Unable to determine, with the reasoning shown for each check.

No login needed and we never post anything. Results are cached for 15 minutes per handle.

Frequently asked questions

About shadowbans, how the test works, and how to recover visibility.

A shadowban is when X limits how visible your posts are without telling you. Your account works normally from your side, but your posts stop appearing in search results, hashtag feeds, or non-followers' timelines. X's own terms call this 'visibility filtering' and it ranges from mild reply deprioritization to a full search ban.
