Which posts does the calculator count?

Only original posts: regular posts and quote posts written by the account. Retweets are excluded because their stats belong to the original author, and replies are excluded because X distributes them differently from timeline posts. Why do average and median views differ so much?

One viral post can drag the average far above what a normal post gets. The median is the middle value, so it ignores outliers in both directions. If the average is 50,000 but the median is 2,000, the account had a hit or two; the median tells you what to expect from the next ordinary post.
