What a cool moment. I just hit 1 million subscribers today. I posted my first video 720 days ago. I was a fresh college grad who had moved from Illinois to Salt Lake City, and I had no idea what I was in for. I remember filming with a $30 webcam and no microphone. People in the comments were begging me to upgrade both. I even kept a towel under my keyboard so you wouldn’t hear me banging on the desk when I typed. Those early videos were rough, but people still watched. That meant the world to me. Since then, I've had some of my lowest lows and some of my highest highs. I've learned so much, met people I'm so grateful to know, and made plenty of mistakes along the way. Every day feels like a new adventure. I get to wake up excited to work, learn something new, and share it with people who are figuring things out alongside me. I feel really lucky to call that my job. To my parents, thank you for always being in my corner. Just knowing I have your support is all I really need. To my family and friends, thank you for being there through all of it. To the entire AIS team, I appreciate you all more than you know. And to everyone who's spent part of their day watching my videos, thank you. Hearing that something I shared helped you build something or take a chance on yourself makes my day. I still have so, so much to learn and so much growing to do. I know there are plenty more mistakes ahead, too. But I'm excited to wake up tomorrow, see what the day throws at me, and try to tackle it as best as I can. The real problem with AI slop isn't the content. It's trust. I write my posts with AI. You probably do too. That's fine. But the moment I can tell you didn't review what you sent me, I stop trusting the message. And then I stop trusting you. Our job changed from writer to reviewer. Most people haven't caught up. "You can outsource your thinking. You can't outsource your understanding." AI makes you 10x faster. It doesn't mean you give up control. Your name is still on it.
