The Entrepreneur
Alen Sultanic is a contrarian online entrepreneur who packages bold, long-game thinking into punchy tweets and a marketing newsletter people actually open. He mixes swagger with practical advice, part philosopher, part operator, part marketer.
Alen sells long-term freedom like it’s a lifestyle class, but with all the swearing you’d expect from someone who learned manifestation theory from a hardware store, equal parts actionable and likely covered in a 'do not try this at tax time' disclaimer.
Built a profitable audience and marketing newsletter from scratch, grew to 21k+ followers, and scored a viral tweet that cracked ~340k views, plus enough property projects to keep a crew busy.
To build independent wealth and influence by turning contrarian insights into products, audiences, and systems that let him live on his own terms and teach others to do the same. He aims to convert curiosity about the universe into clear strategies that produce real money and freedom.
Values independence, competence, and courage over approval; believes skills and relentless execution matter more than credentials or compliments. He trusts long-term playbooks, blunt honesty, and the idea that clarity and conviction attract an audience faster than politeness.
Unapologetic, memorable voice; strong monetization instincts (newsletter + internet business); ability to distill big ideas into short, shareable lines; patient, long-term mindset that keeps him building rather than chasing short wins.
Polarizing tone can alienate potential followers outside his niche; bluntness sometimes reads as abrasive rather than insightful; occasional repetition of the same motifs can make content feel predictable.
To grow on X: 1) Turn your best newsletter pieces into multi-tweet threads with clear hooks and numbered steps; 2) Pin a few different formats (viral thread, newsletter CTA, short video) and rotate; 3) Reply publicly to superfans and quote-retweet big replies to amplify community signal; 4) Use short video clips (30, 60s) of you explaining a single idea, native video hits the algorithm; 5) Host occasional Spaces to convert followers into loyal fans and collect content for threads; 6) Collaborate with complementary creators and do co-threads or quote chains to tap new audiences; 7) A/B test CTAs to the newsletter and use paid boosts sparingly on your highest-performing tweets; 8) Lean into a repeatable series (e.g., 'Sunday Long-Game Notes') so new followers know what to expect.
Fun fact: One of Alen's tweets (“fuck you skills…” thread) went viral, ~340k views and 7.9k likes, proving his blunt style sells. He runs what he calls the "best marketing newsletter," has ~21k followers, owns multiple houses (crew on site), and has tweeted nearly 2,900 times, so he’s part strategist, part home-renovation flex.

of the biggest lessons I learned from a billionaire was his ability to move fast, faster than any of his competitors, and win, and it's based on this thinking principle:\n\nLaunch fast, launch before you want to launch, and know that it'll be at 50% of where it needs to be, but also know that you'll get the other 50% improvement after the fact via optimizing it.\n\nSo say you launch an offer, and you're at $50 AOV, and it'll be at break-even, or maybe even losing a little bit of money.\n\nBut, you know, you still have another $50 to pull out of through various optimizations, getting it to $100, where you'll be quite profitable.\n\nUsing this thinking model, he built a billion-dollar business, and now you can too.\n\n- And World-class skills\n\nFrom the outside, it looks like they had everything to get to that level, but the reality is, they didn't...\n\nThey used two to get the third.\n\nIf they had work ethic and skills, they created money.\n\nIf they had money and work ethic, they bought skills.\n\nIf they had money and skills, they scaled faster than everyone else.\n\nAnd if they started with nothing, they used work ethic to build everything.\n\nWhen they had skills...\n\nThey learned, read, practiced, failed, tried again and again until they got it right — that's skill acquisition.\n\nAnd when they had no money, they outworked people who had advantages.\n\nSo the biggest mistake to think: “I need to be ready first”,“I need more before I start”, “I need permission.”\n\nYou don’t.\n\nYou only need two out of three to get to the top.\n\nMoney. it forces a position of admission that doesn't make them feel very good.\n\nIt's the final checkmate of copy.\n\nHere's one I used recently:\n\n\"Here's why smart people choose to ________ intead of ________\".\n\nThen you lay out all the reasons why \"smart\" people do that, which implies if they do not, they're not very smart.\nIt's the oh shit moment in the subconscious because of course, they're smart.\n\nVery casual, very under the radar, VERY powerful.\nAnother one I used on parenting offer about a year ago was a mental bind stack, which went something along the lines of:\n\n-------\n\n\"You wouldn't have made it this far if you didn't care about your kids...\n\n...And we both know you want the absolute best for them...\n\n...And we both know that if you knew how to _________ that you wouldn't be here, and that's why this is the turning point in your journey as a parent where you truly determien if you're going to continue being a great parent or just an average parent...\n\n...A parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________...\n\n...A parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________...\n\nA parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________.\n\nWe both know the answer to that, afterall, you are a great parent and that's why smart parents always _________ instead of _________, because _________...\n\n-------\nYou see how that works? It pulls you in, locks you in, and makes you realize that if you don't do that, you're not who you thought you were...\n\n...It plays on the identity level, which is the level of the psyche that rules the rest.\n\nAnd now, you knowing how these mental binds work in copy, you too can use it to rule the rest of the offerers in your market.\n\nBecause remember, only a few who mastered copywriting know they even exist.\n\nHave a great Wednesday,\n\nAlen","in_reply_to_user_id_str":null,"in_reply_to_status_id_str":null,"is_quote_status":0,"is_ai":null,"ai_score":null,"source":"scraping","fetched_at":null,"edit_history_tweet_ids":null,"poll_10min_at":null,"poll_3day_at":null,"poll_count":0,"poll_complete":0},{"bookmarked":false,"display_text_range":[0,278],"entities":{"hashtags":[],"symbols":[],"timestamps":[],"urls":[],"user_mentions":[]},"favorited":false,"lang":"en","retweeted":false,"fact_check":null,"id":"1850249190003126529","view_count":18926,"bookmark_count":211,"created_at":1729968757000,"favorite_count":335,"quote_count":4,"reply_count":20,"retweet_count":27,"user_id_str":"1510036486426660883","conversation_id_str":"1850249190003126529","full_text":"I've been in this game long enough to be able to promise you one thing...\n\n...and that one thing is that if you play the game long enough, you'll get your turn, you'll get your wins, and you'll get your millions.\n\nMost think that the way the game works is that you just play the game, you'll have these incremental increases in success and income, a few dollars more here and there over and over again.\n\nKinda, sorta like how it works \"in the real world\".\nDoesn't work like that with what we do.\n\nThe way it works is you'll work your ass off for 6-12 months, nothing works, feels like pulling teeth, then all of a sudden you're at 10-15k a month...\n\n...Phew, \"I've made it,\"...\n\n...Then, you think, bam...now it's going to go up and up, maybe 20k a month, 25k a month, 30k? No more thinking about where the next client is coming from, and no more thinking about where you can hire the best people.\n\nNo more giving \"the middlemen\" of the game 10-25% just for connecting you. I've always hated that with a passion, and it's not fair for them to take 10-25% of your hard work.\n\nI've been in this game a long time, 22 years to be exact, and for quite some years, I left the game to go on a journey alone, running offers, webinars, and everything else, making great money, doing very little…\n\n...Along that timeline, traveling the world, enjoying life, only being in contact with a handful of old friends in the game.\n\nWhen I came back to the industry in 2018 to reconnect with everyone, I saw something that grew far beyond what I remember and was proud to see so many new fresh faces, gurus, and experts…\n\n...And even though the industry was growing and buzzing, something was missing, and that was the magic I personally experienced when I came in the game…\n\n...A special place where you could get help without paying for it…\n\n...Where someone would lift you up without you having to have status.\n\n...And where strangers became friends and supported each other without ulterior financial motives.\n\nThese days, just about everywhere you turn, you can get all that and more, so long as you are willing to pay for it.\n\nMost friends are friendly strangers and getting a hand up only happens if you're well-connected and networked.\n\nI tell you, I miss the old industry, where the magic lived.\n\nSo when I came back, my mission wasn't to make money to keep for myself, it was to make money and reinvest in this industry and game that I grew up in, that changed my life and that gave me everything I could ever want.\n\nI decided to take all the money we make from NHB and reinvest it back in the industry, with a mission that we make money to create more value for our people, and that's exactly what we did.\n\nThe work is a lot more difficult than you can imagine. I work on average 12-hour days, about 6 days a week. For about 4-5 months, I didn't take a weekend off at all, and I haven't had a vacation in 4 years.\n\nBut when you love something, you give it your all.\n\nAnd that's why we're investing and developing 5 massive projects for you guys to give you everything you could ever need to succeed, without you having to pay for it.\n\nThis here is a screenshot of the project we've built, it's fully done and the UI / UX is being adapted now.\n\nIt's a place where you can hire the best marketers in the world, get hired by the best companies in the world and offer your services to everyone.\n\nWithout having to spend days stalking various Facebook groups, networking or kissing ass to people you don't really like or care for, only in hopes they'll refer you.\n\nNo more begging. No more hoping. No more searching. No more thinking about where the next client is coming from, and no more thinking about where you can hire the best people.\n\nNo more giving \"the middlemen\" of the game 10-25% just for connecting you. I've always hated that with a passion, and it's not fair for them to take 10-25% of your hard work.\n\nYou'll be able to find copywriters, salespeople, operations, media buyers, support staff and everything you can imagine.\n\nIt's for business owners, agencies and freelancers, it's for all of you.\n\nIt's 100% free. Otherwise, just about everyone who's into self-help would be able to help themselves and succeed, and we all know most don't.\n\nAnd the reason is that they get quite a lot of stuff wrong or simply backwards. Never looking beyond if it's real or not, becuase afterall, if it sells and makes them money, who cares if it's real, if it works or not.\n\nOne thought that's often used is that \"your present creates your future\", while technically true, is wrong.\n\nBecause it's missing the causal factors of the present, what causes the present to morph, change, and become what we want it to be.\n\nAnd that something is that your future actually creates your present.\n\nThen and only then does your present create your future, but in reality, your future creates the present only to create itself; otherwise, it could not create itself.\n\nThe mind has three areas it can construct reality: The past, the present and the future, yet only one can create current reality, which is the present, which is created by the future and supported by the past.\n\nThat's a doozy, isn't it?\n\nSo let's dig a little deeper.\n\nSay, you're working on something, and that something has various outcomes, mostly, it'll succeed or it'll fail, it'll be easy, or it'll be hard, it'll be fun or it'll suck.\n\nAll these outcomes are in the future.\n\nWhat you think is going to happen loops back to the present, and you start expanding that current thought loop and now it's creating that future, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.\n\nBecause, *drumroll*, there is no future, it's just another part of your mind, thinking that it's a future, which is really in the NOW, influencing the behavioral now that we have.\n\nWe have absolutely no idea what's going to happen in the future, becuse we have so little control of it, but the mind has to keep us safe, so it conjures up everything.\n\nThese future thoughts determine the behavior of today which creates the future, and it loops around.\n\nThe role of the past is to support of what we're capable of due to evidence in the past.\n\nSo now that we have this out of the way, we must look into the language of the future.\n\nAll needs and wants are in the future, and they are all loaded with pre-suppositions, you can't say something, without pre-supposing it.\n\nYou say \"John is going to come over\", you pre-supposed a whole lot of stuff, that John has the ability to come over.\n\nLanguage can't exist without presuppostiions.\nAnd as such, lets look at the language of the future, where you yourself want to or need to make a million dollars.\n\n\"I need to make a million dollars\"\n\nor\n\n\"I want to make a million dollars\"\n\nThe need or want is in the future, if you didn't want it or need it, you'd have it in the present, so it's in the future.\n\nLet's look at what this future-based language does to the now, which affects our behavior, once again, creating the present.\n\nYou can say something, and it can mean something.\n\n\"I need a million dollars\", the conscious mind will think this means you just need it to buy a bunch of stuff, which is what we are aware of, but what we are not aware of is how meaning in time works.\n\nThat's why the most important of all is the meaning in time.\n\nWhat does it mean NOW, what does it mean in the PAST?\n\nAs you say, “I need to make a million dollars” or “I want to make a million dollars”.\n\nNote: If you made a million already, it's slightly different, but if you never did, it's very limiting.\n\nIf you say “I need to make a million dollars”, what you are really saying is that you don’t have a million dollars, and when you say that you don’t have a million dollars, what you are really saying is you don’t have the skills to make a million dollars OR your skills are not good enough to make a million dollars OR that you are not worthy of making a million dollars, and if you don’t have the skills, are good enough or worthy to make a million dollars, then who are you?\n\nThen it says, you are someone who can’t do it, because (insert of who you were in the past).\n\nSee how that works?\n\nThe future creates the present, and it's supported by the past.\n\nTwo create one. The mother is the past, the father is the future, and you are the present.\n\nThe solution to this is quite simple, and yes, you will sound crazy to yourself for the first few weeks as you try it.\n\nJust speak everything in the present tense.\n\nInstead of saying \"I need to make a million dollars\", say \"I make a million dollars a year, and I'm actively doing it now\".\n\nOhh man, your mind will fight you on this one, because you've been programming it wrong for so long.\n\nOr if you speak of the future, make sure you speak it in such a way that creates the correct present for you.\nAnd I want you to think about this...\n\n...Isn't it true that before we can travel on the road to a destination, the road has to be created in the first place?\n\nThe future thoughts are the road being created in real time, so you can travel to it.\n\nIf you guys dig this sort of stuff, let me know and I'll gladly share it...\n\n...I've mastered marketing years ago, and this sort of stuff is where I dwell most of my time.\n\nLet me know in the comments if you'd like to see more of this type of stuff.\n\n- Alen","in_reply_to_user_id_str":null,"in_reply_to_status_id_str":null,"is_quote_status":0,"is_ai":null,"ai_score":null,"source":"scraping","fetched_at":null,"edit_history_tweet_ids":null,"poll_10min_at":null,"poll_3day_at":null,"poll_count":0,"poll_complete":0},{"bookmarked":false,"display_text_range":[0,280],"entities":{"hashtags":[],"symbols":[],"timestamps":[],"urls":[],"user_mentions":[]},"favorited":false,"lang":"en","retweeted":false,"fact_check":null,"id":"1965762116755079459","view_count":24391,"bookmark_count":396,"created_at":1757509185000,"favorite_count":339,"quote_count":3,"reply_count":27,"retweet_count":22,"user_id_str":"1510036486426660883","conversation_id_str":"1965762116755079459","full_text":"Here's why smart copywriters use mental binds in their copy.\n\nSo when you came up as a copywriter, you most likely followed the same path as everyone else.\n\nYou first discover it and go, holy shit, this is the greatest thing ever!\n\nI can write a bunch of words, and then strangers somewhere else read my words, and then they pull out their credit card and give me money.\n\nMagick is real.\n\nAnd then, as you went on you got deeper and deeper into the craft.\n\nFirst, the headlines, then the openings, then the story arcs, then the big ideas, then the concepts, then the mechanisms, then the close, and then the guarantee.\n\nAnd then you got to the end of the road and stayed there for a while, then something happens where you can start to break the rules and re-create them, so you can put a mini close into the opening to get them to read further, you can invert the mechanism, you learn to write blind copy, so on and so forth...\n\n...And then you reach a level where you know there's more, but not sure what, and that's the level most never cross, because you don't know what you don't know.\nSo here's something you'll find on that level.\n\nYou'll find mental binds.\n\nMental binds are phrases that lock the mind into a thought, feeling, and then action, because if they don't, they have to admit they are not an ideal version of themselves; it forces a position of admission that doesn't make them feel very good.\n\nIt's the final checkmate of copy.\n\nHere's one I used recently:\n\n\"Here's why smart people choose to ________ intead of ________\".\n\nThen you lay out all the reasons why \"smart\" people do that, which implies if they do not, they're not very smart.\nIt's the oh shit moment in the subconscious because of course, they're smart.\n\nVery casual, very under the radar, VERY powerful.\nAnother one I used on parenting offer about a year ago was a mental bind stack, which went something along the lines of:\n\n-------\n\n\"You wouldn't have made it this far if you didn't care about your kids...\n\n...And we both know you want the absolute best for them...\n\n...And we both know that if you knew how to _________ that you wouldn't be here, and that's why this is the turning point in your journey as a parent where you truly determien if you're going to continue being a great parent or just an average parent...\n\n...A parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________...\n\n...A parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________...\n\nA parent who's children _________ or a parent who's children _________.\n\nWe both know the answer to that, afterall, you are a great parent and that's why smart parents always _________ instead of _________, because _________...\n\n-------\nYou see how that works? It pulls you in, locks you in, and makes you realize that if you don't do that, you're not who you thought you were...\n\n...It plays on the identity level, which is the level of the psyche that rules the rest.\n\nAnd now, you knowing how these mental binds work in copy, you too can use it to rule the rest of the offerers in your market.\n\nBecause remember, only a few who mastered copywriting know they even exist.\n\nHave a great Wednesday,\n\nAlen","in_reply_to_user_id_str":null,"in_reply_to_status_id_str":null,"is_quote_status":0,"is_ai":null,"ai_score":null,"source":"scraping","fetched_at":null,"edit_history_tweet_ids":null,"poll_10min_at":null,"poll_3day_at":null,"poll_count":0,"poll_complete":0},{"bookmarked":false,"display_text_range":[0,272],"entities":{"hashtags":[],"symbols":[],"timestamps":[],"urls":[],"user_mentions":[]},"favorited":false,"lang":"en","retweeted":false,"fact_check":null,"id":"1700147147599991291","view_count":23176,"bookmark_count":182,"created_at":1694181641000,"favorite_count":161,"quote_count":11,"reply_count":25,"retweet_count":25,"user_id_str":"1510036486426660883","conversation_id_str":"1700147147599991291","full_text":"The Guide To Beating Controls\n\nI shared this in the Nothing Held Back Facebook group back in December 22nd, 2022, and now I'm sharing it here.\n\nThe control — every copywriter's coveted prize that gives them instant status and massive bragging rights in the game…\n\n…and the","in_reply_to_user_id_str":null,"in_reply_to_status_id_str":null,"is_quote_status":0,"is_ai":null,"ai_score":null,"source":"scraping","fetched_at":null,"edit_history_tweet_ids":null,"poll_10min_at":null,"poll_3day_at":null,"poll_count":0,"poll_complete":0},{"bookmarked":false,"display_text_range":[0,280],"entities":{"hashtags":[],"symbols":[],"timestamps":[],"urls":[],"user_mentions":[]},"favorited":false,"lang":"en","retweeted":false,"fact_check":null,"id":"1978093104440672413","view_count":11217,"bookmark_count":324,"created_at":1760449121000,"favorite_count":264,"quote_count":0,"reply_count":21,"retweet_count":20,"user_id_str":"1510036486426660883","conversation_id_str":"1978093104440672413","full_text":"Every copywriter should have a stack of lines they use in their copy...\n\n...Lines that just make the prospect go, damn...that makes sense.\n\n...Lines that make them go, didn't think of that.\n\n...Lines that get them to see the world differently, through your lens... \n\n...Where what was once impossible is now possible, but not only possible, but attainable, and makes them feel that they can do it too.\n\nLines that cause massive change within them that empower, awaken them, and give them permission to move forward.\n\nI call these \"casual copy lines\" and I've shared a few here before, and here's another one I love to use...\n\n\"Why couldn't you?\"\n\nAnd what I love to do is take this line and preface it with logic that's impossible to argue with.\n\nSo it goes something like this:\n\n\"If others are making millions with ___________, why couldn't you do it too? If you had the same resources, knowledge and know-how?...\n\n...Why couldn't you build a business?\n\n...Why couldn't you make millions?\n\n...Why couldn't you do it too?\n\nIf you had everything that allowed them to do it, what would stop you from doing it too?\"\n\nThese lines and copy structure completely remove doubt, limitations, and excuses; it can't be argued with, because it's true.\n\nUsing this structure, we can easily use it in other markets, here are a few examples of how it turns out:\n\n⸻\n\n💪 Weight Loss / Fitness\n\n“If thousands of people with slower metabolisms, busier schedules, and less discipline have lost 50 pounds… why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If your body has burned fat before — which means it knows how — why couldn’t it do it again?”\n\n“If one small change in eating patterns has transformed other people’s energy, confidence, and health… why couldn’t it do the same for you?”\n\n“If others with the same cravings, same stress, same life responsibilities found a way — why couldn’t you?”\n\n⸻\n\n💼 Business / Entrepreneurship\n\n“If others started with nothing but a laptop and Wi-Fi and built million-dollar brands… why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If someone with less time, less skill, and fewer connections launched an offer that changed their life… why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If it’s been proven that the right message can change your income overnight — why couldn’t your message be next?”\n\n“If other people use ads, funnels, and offers to escape the 9-5… why couldn’t you?”\n\n⸻\n\n❤️ Relationships / Self-Worth\n\n“If you’ve given love before, you can give it again — so why couldn’t you receive it this time?”\n\n“If others healed from heartbreaks that felt impossible, why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If you’ve already survived what once broke you, why couldn’t you thrive now?”\n\n“If people can grow closer after being honest, not before it — why couldn’t you?”\n\n⸻\n\n🧠 Mindset / Personal Growth\n\n“If someone else turned their lowest point into the thing that set them free… why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If your brain created your limits — and you control your brain — why couldn’t you create new ones?”\n\n“If everything you’ve ever overcome was proof of your resilience, why couldn’t this be too?”\n\n“If belief is learned — and you’ve learned everything else in your life — why couldn’t you learn this one?”\n\n⸻\n\n💸 Money / Finance\n\n“If millions of people have rebuilt their credit, paid off debt, and started fresh… why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If someone earning half your income became financially free, why couldn’t you?”\n\n“If the system works for those who understand it, why couldn’t you learn it and make it work for you?”\n\n“If your past spending habits got you here, new ones can get you out — so why couldn’t they?”\n\nAnd if you want to create your own, it basically uses logic + a pivot, here's how that looks:\n\n⸻\n\nHere’s how I create lines that shift beliefs instantly — the kind that make people stop, think, and say “Damn… that’s true.”\n\nStep 1: Truth Premise\n\nStart with a statement that’s impossible to argue with.\n\nSomething grounded in logic or evidence that no one can deny.\nExample: “If others have done it…” or “If your body adapts to what you feed it…”\n\nStep 2: Relatability Anchor\n\nMake it personal to the reader’s world.\n\nShow them people just like them have done it — not superheroes, not exceptions.\n\nExample: “If they started with less time, less money, or less skill…”\n\nStep 3: Possibility Pivot\n\nNow drop the line that shifts their belief.\n\nThis is where you transfer power back to them.\n\nExample: “Why couldn’t you?” or “So why not you?”\n\nStep 4: Emotional Proof\n\nAdd a dose of empathy and reality — show them they’ve done hard things before.\n\nExample: “You’ve
