The prompt I use to get ChatGPT to write an article that people want to read. If you just tell ChatGPT to write an article, chances are you will get an article, but it will be one that you have to modify a lot. But after using it for a year or so, I’ve figured out how to get it to write an article that requires less editing. Here’s the prompt I use on ChatGPT: I want to write an article about [insert topic] that includes stats and cite your sources. And use storytelling in the introductory paragraph. The article should be tailored to [insert your ideal customer]. The article should focus on [what you want to talk about] instead of [what you don’t want to talk about]. Please mention [insert your company or product name] in the article and how we can help [insert your ideal customer] with [insert the problem your product or service solves]. But please don't mention [insert your company or product name] more than twice. And wrap up the article with a conclusion and end the last sentence in the article with a question.

Good marketing stands out. Great marketing doesn’t look like marketing at all.

You’re sending emails during the wrong day and time. We did an analysis of 1.46 billion emails sent over a year and found that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the best days to send emails. As for time, 9am to 12pm performed the best. Consider sending your most important emails during those days and time.

If you include internal links to relevant articles, your rankings should increase over time. And the second prompt will help you find helpful articles about the topic that are already popular. This should help you come up with ideas to make your content better.

In total, we created 2000 pieces of content with AI. 1000 from ChatGPT. 1000 from Bard. When then paid people to read the articles (we didn’t tell them they were written by AI) based on their interests. In total 249 articles were read from ChatGPT and the 249 counterpart versions from Bard. We then asked which one they preferred. Here are the results.  75.51% of the time people prefer Bard articles. 24.49% of the time people preferred the articles written by ChatGPT.

The dumbest thing you can spend money on as an entrepreneur is a business coach. I just don’t get it. I know so many people who spend money on coaches. And they always tell me, oh this coach is so successful, smart, and rich… It’s a bunch of bull… if the coach were that rich from their previous ventures, they wouldn’t be a coach. And if they truly wanted to be a coach because they “loved” it... then they would do it for free because they don’t care for the money. Or they would do it for equity in your company and only make money if you made money. I just don’t get why people hire business coaches that charge money on a monthly or annual basis. If you want mentorship, there are others ways to get it. And no, it doesn’t have to cost money. Plus the coaches you really want help from, the ones who know what they are doing, won't just help you out for money. They don't run Facebook ads to try and get your money. It's much harder to convince them. And the coaches who are rich and have fancy houses and cars, it's from all people that are paying them for coaching.

This is why a 14-year-old kid living in Missouri can go viral on social media while that 40-year-old marketing executive who has a Harvard MBA and works for a multi-billion dollar company can’t crack 100 views. The marketing executive plans everything… From the script, the editing, keyword research and even making sure brand guidelines are met. Social media isn’t a formula. Companies are trying too hard... just create authentic content. People relate to real messages… no one cares for content that is dull but looks perfect. Stop making your team jump through so many steps and hoops to create content. It just doesn’t work. And streamlining your social media process is just going to kill your views. See the 14-year-old doesn’t think about data, systems, or processes… they just think, “Oh this is cool, let me post it”. While the 40-year-old executive, wants to have meetings to go over ideas, then has a copywriter script it, and then brings in actors and videographers to help create the content. Social media marketing isn’t that complex. Think like a kid, not an adult and you’ll do better.
