Theres this Duchamp quote that says “art is the only form of activity by which man manifests himself as a true individual". I hate the idea of soul applied to ones own work, it feels rather problematic, but I do favor the idea of individuality, in opposition to the generic.

Idk if it’s my paranoia but most short videos of people talking to the camera feel like they’re reading a script from Claude? And look, I don’t really mind that. It just feels weird that someone would generate a thought and decide to say it on camera as if it were theirs u know.

I feel like it means deciding to stop where a reasonable human would, nothing more. As in, it would probably shoot a few people if it deemed it reasonable, but it should ideally stop at clicking a "Make NY Explode" button even if explicitly asked to do so.

On top of that, we get to brag about how humanity managed to avoid extinction. And if we do go kaput we won't be around to be sad about it.

I use Claude every day for design tasks but I've never used Claude Design. I wonder if I'm missing something.

There's *a ton* of courses that teach designers the fundamentals of engineering but I've seen no courses that teach engineers the fundamentals of design and the latter would be much more important

Astra has v good spatial reasoning. Prob the first model I've seen that can vector trace something for you pretty decently. Well placed béziers, repeated elements where appropriate, etc. Would still correct some things by hand, but it's a pretty solid start. .
