Lesson learned today: don't do stuff that you're not comfortable with, no matter what the price tag. Back in November/December I was having a VERY bad month financially and was close to getting evicted from my home. I took a deal with a well-know AI avatar service because it offered a large payout and I couldn't afford not to at the time; I didn't want to be homeless. I was reassured that the service had tight restrictions on who and what could use my avatar so I figured it wouldn't have any repercussions — I was wrong. Now, my face has been plastered across political pages, surrogacy ads, and services/products I would never personally endorse. Not only that, but my likeness was sold to third party companies and I have zero protections or rights given the scope of the contract. At the time, I had to make a tough decision to keep a roof over the heads of myself and my daughter, but I wish to God I wouldn't have taken this route and figured it out another way. It's taking a huge toll on my reputation and my mental health and there is NOTHING I can do about it. Please be forewarned about these services and selling your likeness. They can make you say absolutely ANYTHING and you have zero rights, no matter how damaging it is. I'm disappointed in myself and will have to wait 2.5 years until the contract is up and I can withdraw my consent. AI is damaging AF.

Question: if I opened up 1:1 UGC/Creative Strategy coaching, who would be interested? I ask because I'm tired of seeing some of you guys not caring who you give your money to. So many of these self-proclaimed "UGC Coaches" are complete BS and claiming they have knowledge to scam you out of money. Before you buy anyone's course or join anyone's community, VET THEM. Do they have active UGC social media? A real portfolio? Do other people in the UGC community know them (don't be afraid to ask)? You are getting BS advice from BS people who have never done a brand collab a day in their life; they're just preying on new UGC creators who want to see quick success and will do anything to get there. It makes me sick and I care too much about this community. Anyways, let me know below if this is something I should start doing ⬇️

Is Bento really that good? I used it briefly at the beginning of this year and didn't see any results, but it seems like they've made some improvements and people are actually landing feasible deals. Lmk!
