In my short span of life, I've realized, people will always complain and criticize. @scribble_dao went through the same: 1. You've only 30 creators 2. Why are you opening grants for the public? 3. Your winners are repetitive 4. You don't need a product 5. Why are you doing $500 grants, nobody will participate 6. Why do winners take time? 7. Your demographics are cooked 8. You don't pre-pay creators 9. You don't need another product, why are you launching a network? You will always be criticized, you need to make sure what decisions you take are backed by your conviction and because of that we've: 1. We've got 40k creators 2. Yes, opening made new launches possible 3. Some grew out to charge $1k for one thread 4. We've upgraded with a new product where people can coin tweets 5. 200 people participated in the $500 grant 6. We review and get it reviewed by the community also 7. We've got creators from 10+ different countries 8. We never had to but we're thinking about it 9. Because more than 1000+ have been coined in the beta version Part of building is part of facing the problems of conviction from your supporters, community and team. You build and make sure to back your decisions. You can fail or you can learn but you can never stop growing. That's the scribble team way and that is WWF for us. In this creator economy, the worst thing you can do as a creator, writer, or someone trying to build a personal brand is putting your eggs in all the baskets. Yap points are irregular. You don’t really know how you’re getting on the leaderboard. There are multiple theses floating around, sure, it’s great for a project’s mindshare, but is the content even educational enough to make a reader spend 2 minutes on the project’s website? Farming yaps, shitposting, roasting, and making memes for 100 different projects is a cool short-term, quick-cash strategy. And I’m game for that if: 1. You wanna exit the industry with quick cash (not looking long-term). 2. You don’t care about building a personal brand. 3. You’re just here to farm airdrops and cash out. But if you’re here for the long haul and understand markets and crypto, you’ll know it's cyclical, just like your ex. When it gives, it gives. But then the bear comes. The airdrops stop being flashy. Yap points won’t add up. If, like me, you want a constant flow of income from the creator economy, here’s what you need: 1. Build a reputation and an audience that trusts what you write. 2. Have a deep understanding of the market and the guts to say no to big writing deals if they don’t align. 3. Be capable of driving not just mindshare, but real volume to the projects you support. How? 1. Research what you write about — then craft (Study @YashasEdu) 2. Talk to your followers. Make them actual crypto users. 3. Drop alpha (after heavy research, it may become second nature, like @hmalviya9 - he's god-level though). 4. Help folks earn their first crypto. 5. Build a legitimate core audience. Even 50–100 people who engage, reply, and trust you can take you far (I think @TheDeFISaint will agree) This will make a project, even in a bear market, willing to bet on you, because you have real value and real people behind you. It's a YUGEEEE DISPARITY! While the creator economy boasts hundreds of millions of participants, only a small percentage (just 4% outta millions of creators on the planet) make a steady living as a creator. Most creators worldwide are either part-timers, side hustlers, or solo brands because they can't sustain themselves financially with only a small minority qualifying as full-time, financially independent professionals creating for fun and love, not caring much about making a living outta creation Any project that solves this disparity will be the next big thing in the creator economy and it does not have to be for CT, or adoption of crypto We've to take this to them as oppose to adopt them in crypto and how it works.
