Sam tweets so much, even their notifications have notifications — it’s like watching a creative hurricane on fast-forward, but hey, at least the inbox stays interesting!

Landing key roles such as working with Audius and generating a substantial monthly recurring revenue marks a significant achievement demonstrating both trust from industry leaders and real business success.

To innovate at the intersection of art and business by building strong brands and products that resonate with audiences while driving sustainable financial success.

Sam values creativity paired with practical execution, believing that good design and smart branding can transform ventures and create lasting impact. They believe in collaboration, entrepreneurial courage, and that dedicated hustle opens doors to opportunity.

Sam's biggest strength is the ability to combine creative talent with entrepreneurial drive, translating ideas into tangible business outcomes. Their extensive network and proactive outreach further amplify their influence and ability to pivot quickly in fast-moving markets.

Running at full throttle sometimes means Sam risks spreading themselves thin, which could lead to burnout or missed opportunities for deeper engagement with followers. The wide range of activities and high tweet volume might dilute focus.

To grow their audience on X, Sam should leverage their strong creative and business expertise by sharing behind-the-scenes content and success stories that humanize their journey. Threading insightful lessons learned from projects paired with tips for up-and-coming creatives could boost engagement and position Sam as a go-to entrepreneur in their niche.

Fun fact: Sam has tweeted over 28,000 times, showing dedication to engagement and community-building in the digital space. Also, their open call for a landing page designer reveals they know the importance of surrounding themselves with the right talent.

Hey @ccharliewu, I discovered your startup @orchard_robots last night 🍎 What you're doing is not only super cool, but it's important for our country's food supply, and will genuinely help millions of people. Inspiration caught me by surprise, and I've spent the past 24 hours creating this branding kit. I love how it turned out; and if anything, I hope it returns some of the energy you gave me! ↓

Wow. Did NOT expect this to blow up 😱 I’m still reviewing these, but if you shared your work, thank you. From the hiring perspective, here are some insights that will help you close more deals. Designers, bookmark this. ↓ Here's what I learned: 1. Speed = visibility ⏰ • Early replies get seen. Late replies get buried. • The feed got super chaotic, timing matters. 2. Cut through the noise 🗡️ • Bad work stands out more than work that’s “mid” or “generic.” • Visuals need to be unique, have character, and feel alive. • Social proof (mutual follows, big companies, testimonials) helps a lot. • 2–4 pieces of work is perfect, more than that is overkill. 3. Presentation is key 👁️ • Website > Direct Figma Link > 3rd-party portfolio site • Include work directly in the post (motion helps, not required) • Skipped “.framer.website” and “.vercel.app,” feels amateur • Skipped any unverified accounts… just get premium • Human profiles > agency/company accounts. 4. Communicate professionally 🗣️ • Respect the preferred channel... I got tons of DMs I never asked for. • Don’t try to “qualify” a client before showing your work. Wrong order. • Empty claims about “conversion metrics” or “technical skills” don’t land. • Tagging others is dope, but the endorsement only counts if they show up. 5. Instant deal-breakers 🤬 • A few people messaged my personal IG (super weird); and some asshole even had the audacity to find my WhatsApp number and call me twice (instant block). • Making me do extra steps (“DM me first…”) • Pitching something unrelated (copy, branding, growth, etc.) • One-liners like “hey” or “landing page?” with no links. • Paragraphs of text… I’m not reading all that. • Overconfidence is not attractive — let your work be the flex. • Any hint of desperation or self-deprecation. 6. Things that surprised me 🤯 • Someone pitched $10k (double my budget). Got my attention, but too aggressive. • Quote RT portfolio links… not sure I love it, but a cool trick. • None of the designers I initially had in mind showed up. Interesting. • Random haters, shit’s hilarious, lol. 7. The core lessons 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 • Your work and your site should do the heavy lifting. • A clean domain, strong examples, and good communication. That’s it. • As a fellow designer, these notes are for me too. • Let’s apply this to level up and earn more work. P.S. Thinking about hosting a space to chat about design, sales, and growth. If you want to be part of it, DM me.
