Been learning about ATS and job scanners lately. It is wild that all of the word salad that job descriptions use, is actually used to filter out resumes. So if you don’t jam pack your resume with the right keywords it won’t pass ATS screening. No wonder people are rewriting

Upgrading my iPhone 12 Mini to a refurbished iPhone 12 Pro today. I'm going to keep the Mini though, replace the battery, and use it as a dedicated 2nd camera. Reduce, reuse, recycle. ♻️

I'm of the belief everyone in your company should know why the business makes money. If they don't know or care, why are they there right? Private business is not a military op with clearance and need-to-know. "I'm just doing my job". That's so foreign to me.

This whole Figma drama is symbolic of design's entire sense of purpose stemming from the corporate environment more and more. Believe it or not, but if you stop caring about "corporate design" practices, and stop caring about "fitting in", that there's a whole world out there.

Your biology like your liver has been tuned over thousands of years to respond to night and day cycles. If you stay up, your body's metabolic functions do not get properly rested. So it's not an influencer fad per se. It's encoded in your DNA to sync up with the sun.

I’ve made these kinds of sites before in my career and after the initial launch campaign, they kill it so that they can update the site faster with more hands. It’s just reality. People erroneously think responsive design killed these creative sites but really it’s just the amount of business interests like sales, lead gen, and retention that have become central to a website’s DNA. Idk where creative web design should live tbh. Most will like it on social but not convert on the actual site.

So many things wrong with this, but really puts that $200k+ salary into perspective nonetheless. What is that, over 100x ROI (at least) on each employee? When you're small, think of the pie you get to keep.
