please stop sharing color palettes fonts, grid in your brand presentations they don’t add any value it’s as if i show you the ingredients of the food and ask you to imagine how it would taste like if you combined them together in a dish do the work give me a taste contexualise your brand presentations visualise the identity you’ve designed within the context of their service/ product to make it easy for founders to teleport to your mind and dream use ai to create unique assets to bring your vision for the brand to life through moving images and 3d it takes so little effort these days yet so many people miss it : ( example: if it’s a fashion brand, create 3d mockups of the label, packaging, tag, etc but the extra mile is experimenting with ideas for the pop up store with ai to expand your clients perspective on your vision if it’s a tech startup show the brand inside the product design new hero’s for their landing page but the extra mile is creating on brand emotional assets like loading and empty states, in app onboarding screens or even welcoming messages that tell the brands story go the extra mile surprise your founders and don’t do this for them do it for yourself to enjoy your own designs even more there’s no better feeling than bringing your creative ideas to life and ai is here to help you do that use it surprise yourself

what is this tiktok like engagement hunger our young designers have fallen in my only advise to young designers stop designing components design end to end flows design systems with simple patterns you are wasting your time prettifying buttons is not craft that’s the fastest path to be replaced by ai and you already know that’s not too far away design end to end experiences design your ideas then try to build them with ai — don’t be afraid, have a go at it you are fragmenting your potential by focusing on these fragmented parts of the full experience and your learnings are so limited - expose yourself to bigger parts by actually designing the apps so many talents are wasted you’ve got the potential lean into it damn it
