First, I asked him if he had a phone. He showed me, but it was a basic phone, what we usually call torchlight. So I said look, what I'm about to tell you is something I know more than any other thing in this life, but first I want you to get a phone that has a good camera. If you can put away 5-10k every month, in 6-12 months, you'll have enough money to buy a phone with an OK camera. When you get that phone, the next step is to make sure every day you work, someone takes a picture and video of you. Wear a vest, helmet and boot then post everywhere online. If you don't know how to open a Facebook or TikTok account, ask a friend, brother, sister, or younger person to teach you. If you do this consistently for 6 months, two things will happen... One, you'll never lack a job. You'll be booked day in, day out. The second thing that will happen is, you will start commanding high fees. He said he charges 500 per sqm. I told him in 6 months, you will be charging double, and if I continue to coach you, you will charge 2k per sqm two years from now. Why was I so confident? I've done this over and over for a lot of people, and it's something everyone should be doing, but they're not. Spend atleast one hour daily learning like your life depends on it, because it really does. Then add writing to it as you learn whatever you're learning. Writing is what will give you an edge. Once you know how to beautifully piece words together and add it to whatever skill you have, you're set for life. 6 months is all you need to go from zero to completely changing your life if you do these things immediately!

The key is—document, don't create. Just document your daily life. The good, the bad, the ugly. Trying to plan and curate things to look perfect makes everything hard, and that's how inconsistency starts. Just ensure to still keep some private things private. People don't need to know your all your business.

You need deep learning. Engulf yourself into learning every detail of your craft. Read widely, watch YouTube videos, talk to people in your industry, take courses, watch a lot of movies and documentary about your craft. You can't afford to be a Nigerian and mediocre. Aim for worldclass.

I was telling a friend how I stole a bunch of Plantain at 1 am, and was beaten in front of everyone 12 years ago! Here's the backstory... There's a small piece of empty land in my parents compound that my mom turned into a plantain plantation. She started planting those plantains even before the house was completed. So before we moved in, we had at least 20 Plantain trees already bearing fruit. This would later become our source of food for years to come, even to this day. Those plantains have continued to grow without much work. If you've been close to Plantains or know how they grow, you'll know that as soon as one is getting ready to bear fruit, 4 little ones are already growing, shooting out. So 20 trees today, can become 20 x 4 next year. Now you have 80! This thing grows like crazy. I don't remember us doing anything else except weed the grass. So why did I steal Plantain when we had more than enough that my mom began to sell some off, and gave it as gifts to anyone that visited? Yes, at one point, if you visit our house, you're going home with a full bunch or sometimes half bunch of Plantain. It was that much. Here's what happened... In that community, they were some young boys that swore we won't eat that Plantain alone. So they patrol our street all the time, and when they sight a tree almost getting matured, they'll come at night with a dagger to cut down the bunch. Our place wasn't fenced at the time, so they had free access to get in and cut it whenever they liked. This was a huge problem for my mom. This continued for a while, so I wasn't having it anymore. What did I do? Wait for them with a big machete in the middle of the night. I honestly don't know what my plan was, but as the first son, I probably was looking forward to defending the territory. Stupid idea! As expected, by 1 am, they showed up. I saw someone with a dagger slowly cutting the tree down. I came out with my machete and screamed at him. Stop there! Then ran towards him. What I didn't know was, there was someone else, his job was probably to look at the road, so I didn't see him. The next thing I knew, I was on the floor. That "road looking guy" came from behind, carried me, and hit me on the floor. Remember, this was 12 years ago, so I was still very small in size and age. Ladies and gentlemen, that was the beginning of the worst beating of my life. They beat me, dragged me by the leg, and took me to the next street. I was screaming help help help but no one came out. When we got to the next street that's when we saw some people there. Whew! Life again. I'm alive! Thank you, Jesus! They gathered and asked what happened. Guess what the thieves said? Just guess? They said they saw me in the compound, trying to steal Plantain. What? Steal Plantain? That's a lie I screamed. They're the thieves. That's my father's house! Part 2 coming...

2024, the year where my technical analysis became insanely accurate! I worked so hard to perfect this strategy. So many times I wanted to stop using it, but I kept on refining and tweaking, till it's now almost impossible to lose a trade.
