Today makes it 11 days since I launched my email marketing agency @Uptiveagency , and one of the goals I set was to hit $10k in 3 months. But this post isn’t about whether we’ve hit that or not. Because as far as I’m concerned, we’re still at $0; currently working with the clients I had prior to launching the agency. So why exactly am I sharing this? As much as we plan to hit $10k in 3 months, I’ve completely taken my mind off that goal. Instead, I’ve been focusing on the process. Let’s be real… Getting clients to work with us isn’t something we can fully control. But there is something we can control: being in potential clients’ faces and getting them to want to work with us. So while we can’t control the outcome, I’ve decided to control the process. And whether we hit $10k in 3 months or not, we’ll know we did our part. So what’s the plan? Mainly three things: - Cold Email I’ve spent the past few days setting up our cold email system. I’ve got some experience working at a cold email agency and doing a lot of it while I was solo. Bought some domains, warming them up over the next couple of weeks before sending. - Cold DMs I’m not the biggest fan of this, but I’ve put systems in place to make sure I’m sending DMs to potential clients. - Content (X, LinkedIn, TikTok) I’ve always loved making videos. For the longest time, I procrastinated. But since launching this agency, I feel a weight of responsibility, and a new level of accountability. You know how you’d feel if you woke up one morning and suddenly you’re a mom? 😅 That’s how I feel right now. So I’m taking the bull by the horns and doing the damn thing. And lastly; referrals! Not exactly a “strategy,” but still super powerful. And in the spirit of being shameless about my goals… If you know an eCom brand owner sleeping on email, when they should be getting at least 25% of their revenue from it… Send ‘em our way. I also plan to test a few outside-the-box strategies. I officially launch my email marketing agency @Uptiveagency tomorrow, and I just wanted to take a moment to appreciate everyone who’s supported me in one way or another. Over the past few days, I’ve literally lived in the DMs of other agency owners I admire; asking for advice on all kinds of things: Offers, pricing, website feedback, and so much more. Everyone was open, sharing what worked for them and how I could implement it in my own way. It’s such a good feeling to have people doing what you want to do; being able to ask them questions without them gatekeeping. Even though I’ve been in this industry for a while, running it as an agency is a whole different ball game. So every piece of advice meant a lot to me. With that said, we officially launch tomorrow.
