Abhitej’s hustle is so intense, he probably treats his coffee like an investment portfolio—constantly checking for returns and panicking during volatility.

Successfully launched and led FilamentFinance through turbulent times, supporting his team through downsizing while keeping the vision alive and fostering new opportunities for talented individuals.

To innovate and lead in the world of decentralized finance by creating valuable products while supporting and uplifting his community and teammates through genuine leadership.

Believes in transparency, resilience, and continuous learning. Values hard work, loyalty to his team, and the power of building opportunities from challenges. Trusts in the transformative potential of crypto and decentralization to create asymmetrical opportunities.

Unmatched grit and determination, ability to pivot and rebuild from failures, strong leadership and team-building skills, deep understanding of DeFi and startup ecosystems.

Can be overly invested emotionally in his ventures, sometimes leading to burnout; may have difficulties scaling focus beyond hands-on operations due to persistent hustle mindset.

To grow his audience on X, Abhitej should leverage his authentic storytelling by sharing more personal growth insights and actionable startup advice. Engaging more with his community through Q&A threads or AMAs can also build stronger connections and increase follower loyalty.

Fun fact: Despite facing multiple personal and financial hardships—including losing both parents and dealing with significant crypto losses—Abhitej has maintained his entrepreneurial spirit and continues to build and support others in the crypto space.

Grew up in a small town with financially unstable home. Channelled all my frustration as a kid to become an army officer - trained for 9 years (10-19). Got rejected multiple times on medical grounds. Took engineering as a backup. Lost my mother when I was 19 and lost my father to depression - took debt to finance my education and my younger brother. Couldn’t afford any luxury of being young and stupid in college. Lived off whatever stipend I could earn. Gave my all to building asymmetrical opportunities thru startups in college - failed multiple times. Got a shot at crypto when @0xHBx took me under his wing. Worked days figuring out crypto and nights doing assignments sourced by @madhursatija - bought bitcoin with every extra penny I had. No parties, no trips, no desires. Dropped admission for MiM in Canada because I couldn’t afford the fees. Joined Persistence as first employee and worked my ass off to pay my student loan, support my brother and find some financial stability. Glued to the screen through Covid and DeFi summer - made good money. Didn’t cash out in bank but decided to convert to UST - lost most of it. Thanks to @PandeyMikhil @PratyakshInani helping in saving some of it. Rebuilt myself and my portfolio through the bear. Moved out of Persistence, worked so many gigs to accumulate some cash. Started Filament and financed my brother’s move to Canada for CS. Still grinding, still learning, but never giving up.

Today marks one of the toughest days in @PratyakshInani's and my journey as founders. We’ve had to downsize the team to just three people, including both of us. I thought dealing with the exploit, liquidating our personal holdings, and pushing to revive the product would be the hardest part. But letting go of the team we’ve built over the last year is by far the most painful. We’ve been incredibly lucky to work with such committed, smart, and resilient folks. If there was a way to keep them, we would have never made this decision. But this fight is ours to carry forward, and we don’t want others to endure long hours, financial uncertainty, and the weight of it all. Just like with our users, I’m committed to supporting every team member during this transition. If you’re hiring across growth, product, solidity, front-end, or full-stack roles—please DM me. I’ll connect you with some incredible people who deserve to be building great things. People I’d rehire in a heartbeat: > @buntyverse (Growth & Marketing) – If you’re active on CT, you’ve probably seen his work. Kunal brings visibility, memes, momentum, and serious growth intuition. A true asset for any team. > @kunalzedd (Product Design) – A human Swiss army knife. Can talk to users, build systems, own the design-to-delivery pipeline in early teams. Thoughtful and fast. > @skushagrasharma (Full-stack) – One of the hungriest young developers I’ve worked with. Owns backend, front-end, DevOps, and systems thinking with speed and clarity. > @0xpriyesh (Full-stack) – Great with front-end and fast at picking up whatever’s needed—smart contracts included. Reliable, curious, and hands-on. > @askwhyharsh (Full-stack) – Joined recently but dove straight in and owned development of Run It Back end-to-end. Can manage both backend logic and contract integrations. > @SrikanthAlva (Smart Contracts / Full-stack) – Brings maturity and depth. Experienced with smart contract development and backend engineering pipelines. Each of them has grown 10x in the past year. They’ve taken on massive challenges, worked against impossible odds, and never once complained. I can vouch for every single one of them with full conviction. So what does this mean for @FilamentFinance? When we started out, it was just Pratyaksh, me, and one engineer. We’re going back to those roots. Locked in, head down, building brick by brick. We already have features and new products on internal testnet. We’ll prioritize, ship, and keep pushing Filament forward. Alongside that, we’re making all the necessary upgrades to Filament Pro and preparing it for another audit over the coming weeks. This isn’t over. Not until we’ve given it everything we’ve got.

.@0xThiru proud of you, man - the way you handled that racist mob was amazing. The world is unfair, and it’s getting more unwelcoming by the day. But keeping your head down, turning pain into fuel, and pushing forward is how you win and you did 🙌🏽 Casual racism feels more common now. It hurts, for sure. I’ve dealt with it too - from being talked down to, to being uninvited from dinners early in my career just because I’m from India. Even today, people discount abilities based on background. But here’s what I’ve learned traveling around the world: For every thousand racists, there are hundreds who hate that behaviour and go out of their way to show you how warm, fun, and welcoming their culture truly is. These are the people who become lifelong friends. And look at your replies - dozens of genuinely good folks showing support. That’s the real world, make these people your friend and you will look back at Argentinian people very differently. I’ve never been to Argentina, but Latinos are some of the most fun, passionate, and loving people I’ve met. Medellín is still one of my favourite places on earth because of the people. Anyone who knows me has heard my love for Colombia at least once. Take care brother and have an amazing conference.

Appreciation post for @buntyverse. Crypto often gets a bad rep for being full of extractive, short-term thinkers. My counter-example? Kunal. This guy took a 90% pay cut to join Filament in its early days—no equity, no fancy title—just belief in Pratyaksh and me, our vision, and our ability to execute. Find me a better example of “Believe in something.” I’ve worked with Kunal for four years now. He started as an intern making memes in early 2021, and his evolution since then has been nothing short of inspiring. But some qualities have been inherent from day one, making him truly special: > Vibes: Anyone who’s met Kunal knows—he is a vibe. His unique fashion sense, killer puns, and ability to instantly connect with people make him unforgettable. > Humour: I genuinely haven’t met anyone with a sharper sense of humour. He’s mastered the art of using it to build a personal brand that stands out. > Embracing uncertainty: He doesn’t let fear hold him back. Time and again, he’s taken risks and pushed forward. One of my favorite things he often says is: “Ab Bhagwan laye h dharti pe to raah bhi dikha hi denge” (If God has brought me to earth, He will show me the way too). This mindset is powerful. Of course, we’ve had our fair share of challenges—misalignments, different work styles, expectation gaps. But Kunal always comes out stronger, proving why he’s one of my best bets in life. Over the past two weeks, he’s completely owned Filament’s growth—relentlessly reaching out to users 1:1, driving votes for Filament in the Builders Round, and cooking up smart onboarding campaigns. His efforts have freed me up to double down on Filament’s edge in onchain derivatives - big moves coming soon. Nothing makes me prouder than hearing people recognize Filament through Kunal’s name. I always say: Filament is simply the product of 10x individuals behind it. And Kunal is one of them.

From outsider perspective “Exploring Network token” sounds superficial - I conquer. But launching $BASE w/o deliberate coordination efforts and alignment b/w all stakeholder would end up like many tokens we despise. @Base had successfully built: > Great infrastructure and tooling for apps to launch > Distribution rails But has lacked highly aligned BASE VOICES in form of builders and users. We have seen that work out really well for $SOL and $HYPE. Base is taking the charge to address this. @jessepollak talks about it here:

Early this morning (UTC), @FilamentFinance was exploited through a sophisticated financial engineering attack. There are a lot of questions from the users and stakeholders and we are trying to address each one of them proactively. We are committed to doing everything in our power to recover user funds.

Here’s the human side of going through the exploit as founders: > The easiest thing is to write off a young, early-stage team. Without knowing the situation or details, some casually say, maybe they just weren’t good enough. But most people don’t know the tough times @PratyakshInani and I have pushed through before, or how far we’re willing to go to make this work. We’re still deep in the crisis, but we won’t give up. We’ll do everything we can to make sure our users are made whole. Honestly, you can’t get through something like this unless you really love the game – and we do. > The expectation is always for you to be perfect – communication, funds recovery, product fixes, keeping the team motivated, staying sane, getting deals done. But the reality is, we’re figuring out a lot of this as we go. We’re making mistakes, but we won’t stop until we’ve done everything possible to do right by our users. > No matter how good the team is, no one gets through a situation like this alone. @seinetwork has been a huge support, guiding us through every step. At the same time, we had to learn to cut through the noise. In the beginning, we felt overwhelmed and lost until we started filtering through the hundreds of messages and focused on the ones that mattered. > There’s a constant internal battle – second-guessing ourselves, imagining the worst, fearing we’ll lose everything we’ve built, dealing with biases. Having a solid co-founder makes a difference – when one of us is drained, the other becomes the anchor that keeps us grounded. > It’s not just hard on me and @PratyakshInani – it’s hard on our families too. They’ve been worried sick about our mental health, whether we’ll collapse under pressure, how we’ll fix this. I come from a humble background. When my grandparents heard the exploit amount, they said, “Son, even if we sell everything, we can’t make up that number, but we can try to help in some small way.” What matters to them is that I don’t let this break me. My brother and friends check in ten times a day. I haven’t always been there for them while building Filament, but they’re here for me now. It’s hard to explain every detail about DeFi or crypto, so I just tell them – I’ve bounced back before, and I will this time too. I’m strong. So when users reach out about even ten dollars stuck in the protocol, I get it. Every bit matters.

Basecamp was the best place to get a pulse on where @base is headed. Key takeaways: > Curated events > > big conferences. Way more signal. > $BASE token incoming. The biggest alignment tool for builders, creators, users and institutions. Also a massive chance to onboard net-new users. > All Base teams (Devrel, TBA, ecosystem, global expansion) stood in front of builders, creators, and users for honest feedback. People didn’t hold back, and fixes started immediately. Base knows where it sucks and is willing to improve fast. > Supply side is strong, but consumer app demand is still thin. Jesse’s keynote + upcoming programs are doubling down here. > Base is focused on asymmetric growth - breaking out beyond a few million users. Content and culture feel like the strongest bets, replicating social media’s playbook. > Asked @jessepollak about regulation outside the US. His answer hit - most countries fear dollarisation. But framing crypto around local stablecoins (Nigeria, Indonesia) lands better. Expect Base to push hard on this. > Base app has serious potential to bridge crypto-native apps to the masses. Fun, relatable, and an easy launchpad for indie devs. > Country leads = underrated superpower. Saw them running around facilitating intros and partnerships. This level of founder support is rare. Shoutout @XenBH and @Saxenasaheb. > The Base app is just one block in a bigger Coinbase-Base structure. Lines are blurring. Expect curated interfaces (Base Pay, Coinbase Card, yields) to funnel millions into Base apps. In hindsight, building on Base = cheat code. > And yes, Base’s creative team is GOATed. 🐐
