Shanjai, you follow 5600 people but your followers are MIA — maybe all those AI models you love should invent a 'how to get followers' algorithm just for you. Or at least a feature to auto-retweet your genius so someone besides yourself notices.

Successfully built multiple AI products used by six-figure companies, and played a pivotal role in creating Airstrip AI, offering AI solutions at a tenth of the typical market cost without sacrificing quality.

To push the boundaries of AI innovation by creating accessible, efficient, and reliable AI-based products that empower startups and enterprises alike, driving the future of intelligent automation in financial and technical domains.

Shanjai believes in the power of open-source AI as a democratizing force, transparency and security in data usage, and that innovation should combine cost-effectiveness with uncompromised quality. He values continuous learning, rigorous testing, and practical solutions tailored to real-world customer needs.

Exceptional technical expertise coupled with a hands-on approach to product development, deep understanding of AI model capabilities, and the ability to foresee market shifts allowing him to build scalable, cost-efficient AI solutions.

Sometimes so immersed in technical intricacies, Shanjai might miss out on simplifying his communication for broader audiences, risking his complex insights being underappreciated outside specialist circles.

To grow your audience on X, simplify your insights for broader appeal by breaking down complex AI jargon into actionable tips or intriguing stories. Engage actively with followers through polls or Q&A, and leverage visual content like mini-infographics to highlight AI trends and startup hacks. Collaboration with other AI innovators or influencers can also amplify reach.

Fun fact: Despite the dominance of Western AI giants, Shanjai sees Chinese open-source AI models as the hidden backbone powering many leading AI startups, which he openly discusses with plenty of insider knowledge.

EVERY single large ai company is either already using, or is developing something on top of open source chinese models. A good example is @perplexity_ai's sonar model. I am pretty sure they are using some chinese model because once it started to suddenly putting out text in chinese, not the follow up questions. Same with many companies right now. Grok fast is the only competitor cost-intelligence competitor to chinese open source models.

Qwen 3 coder and Gemini 2.5 pro is the closest to Claude 4 opus 👑🏆 i've tested all the top coding LLMs out there, qwen, deepseek, openai, claude, gemini (not yet grok 4), almost everything: every model can write code, but these top models have this good understanding of the next steps and very very good retention of the relevant information from its cluttered context clearly a lot of the top companies are using qwen models. for the companies i've worked with -- after doing testing for so many of their use cases qwen is one of the top performers always, together with the highly priced and clear options like claude proof of this is already evident @OpenRouterAI, majority of the llms used this month were chinese llms, mainly deepseek and qwen . best for the quality and cost i am pretty sure that these loads of enterprise focused ai companies are using these models, fine-tuning them and using it in their workflow gemini 2.5 pro was shit some months back, but they improved on context and agentic use with tools and it became really good, really good for processing long text and building something that requires the llm to maintain lots of context about something before doing something (coding, majority of knowledge work right now) the truth is that adoption of these open source models is just gonna skyrocket and lower cost options are going to be a major part of them

Lovable's MARGINS would have INCREASED at least 10% in the past couple of months Before, claude was the best and the go-to choice for lovable, bolt and v0 and any other vibe coding apps. No questions asked. Now GLM, Grok code fast which have become relatively cheaper (almost 50% the price of claude) and give similar performance. -> Model cost is the major cost for vibe coding apps (probably marketing #2), managing computers for hosting apps at scale (infrastructure) is not much of a driver of cost because vibe coders are not using lovable all day long, only couple of hours a day so computers can be downsized, put to sleep or even used for other projects without needing to run lots of computers / for long periods of time Another thing is that - Many people STILL compare lovable to cursor. They simply don't understand that there are people who dont want manage connecting with mongodb, hosting apps on netlify and managing dns records. The idea is to remove all blockers and make the time from building something to getting to the goal of the user (making money, getting more customers, more visitors) with a couple of buttons clicks and not manage anything in the backend at all, in the lowest time and effort possible. This is why shopify integrated into lovable, why didn't they build a shopify ai builder? it should only take a couple of days for a team that size to build right? #1 reason is obviously distribution But its also to get to end goal quickly with less effort. The goal for them is not to code and build something. The target market is totally different, not coders. Its directly the people wanting to start their ecom store who don't care about what is the best coding agent, whether its cursor or lovable, its just whether they can now build a really good shopify store within minutes and start doing Ads and earning money within hours or days rather than weeks optimising stores. Vibe coding = lovable, v0, replit Coding assistans/agents = cursor, windsurf, devin
