A man with an unintegrated anima experiences his feminine energy almost entirely through the women in his life. And because of this, he will turn women into mirrors of his unconscious feminine, idealizing, fearing, and reacting to them, rather than having awareness and understanding of this energy within himself. He may oscillate between idolizing and resenting women, or trying to control them, because he hasn’t internalized his feminine within as a guiding, constant force.
