If Damien were a snack, he'd be a communal bag of chips that everyone loves, but sometimes there's just a bunch of crumbs left by the time you get there.

His biggest win is the successful launch and positive reception of his One-Day Design Sprints, which have allowed him to work with amazing founders and great projects, reinvigorating his career and boosting his confidence.

Damien's life purpose revolves around fostering creativity and collaboration within the startup and design communities. He aims to empower founders and creators to bring their visions to life through design and strategic partnerships.

Damien believes in the power of community and collaboration. He values the exchange of ideas and the support found within creative networks. He also believes in the importance of giving back and paying it forward, as evidenced by his commitment to helping others in their creative journeys.

Damien's strength lies in his ability to connect with others and build a community. His transparent sharing of personal experiences and willingness to help others fosters a sense of trust and reliability among his audience.

His weakness could be a tendency to overextend himself, as he is involved in multiple projects and actively engages with a broad audience, which may spread his time and energy thin.

To grow his audience on X, Damien should continue to leverage his strength in storytelling and community building. Sharing more behind-the-scenes insights into his projects and the creative process can help to deepen his connection with his audience. Additionally, hosting regular Q&A sessions or workshops could further establish his presence as a thought leader and go-to resource in the design and startup spaces.

A fun fact about Damien is that he transitioned from facing job rejections to creating his own successful design sprint service, showcasing his resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges.

🚨 BIG giveaway: I'm offering not 1, not 2 but 3x One-Day Design Sprints 💎🤟 Why am I doing that? Well, it's my way to give back to the community! I'll explain how to win in the following post... But first, let me tell you why I'm doing this giveaway: In November last year, the company I was working for had to let me go. This stuff happens, I was not worried initially. What came next got me really scared though 🤯 The market for FT remote jobs is absolutely wild. Has been for months and will probably remain like that for some time. I got rejected to every job I applied for. It had never happened to me before, in my 15 years-long design career. Some jobs I applied to got 500-1000 applicants, according to recruiters. I couldn't believe it 🙈 Runway was fading like ice cream during hot summer days. And as a dad of 2, it was exceptionally frightening. Weeks were passing by quickly and I had trouble seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Of course, anxiety kicked in. As if things weren't already hard enough to cope with! 😱 At one point, I even considered quitting design and doing something completely different. I mean, I live in a small mountain town. The closest city is 30kms away and big cities are quite far. Tech jobs aren't the norm, over where I live 😅 Next up is where community played a big role. I started to post a lot more on X and was also in a tight-knit discord server where founders share their wins. But also their struggles. All-in-all, I was chatting to a lot more people. It felt good. And it prompted a lot more ideas in my mind. Still, it did not solve everything for me. I was 2 weeks away from having no more runway. I had to find a solution fast! A chat with @socodemaker & @constantout (in Hacker Cabin) prompted what became One-Day Design Sprints the very same day 🤟 I was nervous. It was the last thing I was testing before throwing the design towel. It had to work. But what if it didn't? 👀 Thankfully, the idea took off and I got to work with amazing founders on great projects in the 2 months since launch. This change of pace brought confidence back + new energy at lightning speed. It unlocked things I just couldn't see with my "anxiety blindfold" on. Suddenly, nothing felt impossible anymore 💪 Since then, it's been win, after win, after win on the work side of things. And I have a LOT more planned in the coming weeks. I feel unstoppable. This is why I'm giving back. For the support I got during hard times. Every interaction I received on X (and elsewhere) has meant more to me than some of you might have thought at the time. It's why I always say that there is a story behind every avatar. What you see online isn't the full story. Be nice to others and pay it forward. Now it's my time to give 🫶

Introducing Brandbox'd, the name of the new project I'm working on w/ @socodemaker 📦 It will be the best way to buy a premium domain name + professionally-designed logotype to get ahead of the competition on your next project. Focus on building, we'll do the rest 🔥
