Every operating system does that to make the process easier and make the app work faster, but there’s a problem with iOS and localization.\n\nFor localizing, iOS goes one level forward. Unnecessary forward. \niOS forces developers to localize every supported language by the app.\nGmail for example, supports 40+ languages and the end user would at most use / interact with 3 of them, but iOS forced the developer, Google, to load all of those forty something language into the user’s device. \n\nIt does take unnecessary space on the device but the good point is that you’d also be able to seamlessly change the language of your app without waiting for some extra seconds you may wait on your Android. \nDoes it worth the extra space?? Hell NO.\n\nSome companies like Airbnb have found some solutions to overcome that problem which has been created by Apple and I would share the strategy they used to achieve that in another post.
