Whoever thinks to doubt him here, I tell you: Between December 26, 2013 and September 2018, I had a continuous stream of exquisite thoughts about what it was to be a part of what Americans call "the rave scene." Essential, basic truths about what it was to be human, to love, to live, to belong and to experience beauty. That were nonetheless extremes of esoterics, that is, stuff you couldn't find in ANY book written at that time. Answers to questions like, what does it mean to belong? What is it to pursue an ambition, and where do the visions that drive ambition come from? When you aspire to be your best self, what is really going on? The answers I could have written down at the time were moving and profound, regardless of how true they were. I could have written what would have been -- as if you were allowed to look through a gently tinted glass pane into another plane of existence, where angels and demons and old forgotten gods sought to sway you to labor towards greatness; and learn to recognize omens and signs in your life as manifestations of their gentle and nurturing care and direction. Sought to lead you to a kind of home where you belonged just as much as you did at the place where your parents raised you, but was not confined to any one specific location. Rather it was a home that could not be burned, dismantled, broken into or sold; a home that would BE anywhere that a group of a few thousand gathered, often in the desert or in a forest or a stadium arena, to "party" but really more like "to celebrate creation." But, I didn't write the book. Indeed relative to how much I could have written, I barely wrote it down at all. And now, the general is all that is left; the specifics of the abstract I wrote above are all gone. So whether you choose to write it yourself, or choose to hire a ghostwriter like Joshua, one thing you can be sure about is this: Unless you dump the loose, chaotic strings of thought passing through your mind into your iPhone's notes or your computer's word processor, storing them away in a location you'll remember to check later...
