Nate’s tweetstorm volume could probably raise the entire East Coast’s caffeine consumption—so much coffee, so many takes, sometimes you wonder if he’s trying to see how many words fit into one day rather than crafting a single tweet! The ā€˜I did it my way’ tagline hits hard when you realize his way involves an entire spreadsheet of ideas blasting through your feed.

Nate’s biggest win is scaling a brand by quadrupling its size while building a loyal internal marketing team, then smoothly pivoting to lead marketing at a new, fast-growing company, all while keeping his personal story front and center to motivate others.

Nate’s life purpose is to fuel business growth through innovative marketing strategies while inspiring others to take charge of their own career paths. He thrives on creating profitable momentum for brands and empowering early-stage founders to own their marketing journeys with confidence.

He believes in authentic hustle, measured risk-taking, and the power of strategic growth over vanity metrics. Nate values resilience and the importance of personal commitment—promises made to family and self are sacred. He also recognizes the importance of building great teams and passing the baton to strong successors.

Nate’s key strengths are his entrepreneurial grit, ability to lead exponential brand growth, and knack for weaving compelling personal stories that engage his audience. He’s a master of using transparency and authenticity to build trust and inspire action.

His biggest weak spot might be over-sharing in the fast-paced Twitter environment, occasionally stirring up heated debates or polarizing opinions that could alienate some followers. His high-energy approach might also overwhelm more casual readers.

To grow his audience on X, Nate should leverage more short-form video snippets from his podcast and marketing tips paired with concise, actionable threads. Engaging in community-building by hosting regular Twitter Spaces on entrepreneurial marketing trends could also enhance follower loyalty and interaction.

Fun fact: Nate once quit his job after quadrupling the company's size and seamlessly transitioned to a new CMO role at Adapt Naturals, showing off his fearless career navigation! Oh, and he made a promise to buy his wife their next home—and he delivered on it. Talk about marketing with heart.

My Facebook CPMs are up 42% this year compared to last year & I might delete my twitter? A thread on the current state of ecom: Despite rising CPMs, we’re growing our top & bottom line over 66% this year our in-platform ROAS on facebook has only decreased by 7% and our blended CAC has only increased by 9%... I’m not trying to dunk on anyone here. I’m not going to flex our numbers. I’m simply trying to move the conversation forward from the unproductive place it currently sits… ā€œFacebook is brokenā€ That’s not a helpful stance to take. Here’s what I think is: Facebook cannot make or break your business. Facebook is nothing more than an amplifier, a megaphone. If you run a shitty business, facebook is going to expose you. If you run a great business, facebook is going to be a fantastic tool to profitably acquire customers. So, before blaming zuck, take a good hard look at your brand. Are you developing new products based on customer feedback? Are you doing anything noteworthy in your industry? Have you studied the psychological reasons people are buying your products & incorporated those learnings into your funeel? Are you trying to get your COGs down? Are you trying to get your AOV up? What about CRO / RPS optimization - are you doing any work there? There’s more money to be made in growing your business by working outside the ad account - not inside of it. Unfortunately, the loudest voices in our industry won’t tell you that... It's not profitable for them to tell you that. They need to sell complex media buying services & courses to run their business, and that's a damn shame for the rest of us. Shame on them for peddling propaganda that their method of media buying is the only way to find success in ecom. Shame on them for misleading you. Take it from me - I’m the VP of marketing a fast-growing, 8-fig/year ecom brand and I run our FB ad account in about 5 hours a week. We run CBO campaigns, targeting Americans over the age of 21, with a single ad set in each. That's all the secret sauce I've got... The rest of my time is spent getting to know our customers & studying their behavior on our website, then using that info to write & direct new ad angles and LP messaging that’ll resonate with them. Our founders are doing a fantastic job pushing the boundaries of the watch industry by lining up insane partnerships & using new materials in our manufacturing process. We’re relentless about increasing our revenue per session, and constantly have multiple content/price/destination tests happening on our website. We’re learning more about our customers' buying behavior and are overhauling our pre & post purchase upsells & flows to bundle products together that we know past customers have paired… There’s so much more valuable work to be done without even touching your ad account but it doesn’t get talked about enough on here and that's a damn shame. Or… I’m lying… the guy who doesn’t own an agency or sell a course is trying to spread his propaganda just for fun. A guy who doesn’t monetize his twitter following and won’t end this thread with ā€œSign up for my newsletterā€ is just doing this for attention… A guy who already has his dream wife & dream car & dream job & golfs 5x a week & eats ribeyes every night & washes them down with the best bourbon money can buy is clawing for relevancy from behind a keyboard just because he's bored…Believe what you want… But the day is coming soon that I’m gunna delete this app forever because it no longer helps me. I’ve made the connections I wanted to make with marketers on the brand side that I can call when I’m stuck. I’ve used this platform to get my dream job - a job that I truly hope is the last job I’ll ever have. And unless we’re talking about baseball, bourbon, or conspiracies around the (obviously fake) moon landings, I don’t have fun on here anymore. So, to the small biz owners, to the ecom stores that are struggling to get your first sale, to those who spend $1k/day on facebook ads or less… Don’t listen to 90% of the noise from the marketing community on this app. Go talk to your customers, take what you learn from them and apply it to new product development, apply it to new content creation, and relentlessly try to make your business better. I promise your facebook ad performance will improve if you do that, and you don’t have to hire me or anyone else for $15k+/month to tell you that.
