For a guy who despises copy-pasters, Manuel’s got that classic indie dev ‘too-intense-for-the-algorithm’ vibe — like he’s on a crusade against CTRL+C, CTRL+V while forgetting to CTRL+Grow-His-Followers. Maybe less roasting others, more roasting up some viral memes?
Manuel’s biggest win is the full public launch and honest debrief of Vaulty, his in-house password manager for teams, showcasing his end-to-end capabilities from ideation to payment integration while openly discussing the harsh realities of startup life.
To innovate and build meaningful software products that solve real-world problems while advocating for authenticity and originality in the tech community. Manuel aims to inspire fellow indie developers by sharing honest experiences and encouraging creative thinking over imitation.
Manuel believes that true innovation requires personal investment and original thought rather than copying others' work. He values perseverance, thinking independently, and genuine effort in product creation. He also holds transparency and community engagement as crucial pillars for growth.
His strengths lie in his technical expertise, entrepreneurial mindset, and fearless authenticity. Manuel’s willingness to confront industry malpractices and share his unvarnished journey builds credibility and trust within his audience.
Manuel’s blunt honesty and high standards for originality may sometimes alienate peers or provoke controversy, potentially limiting collaboration opportunities. Additionally, his follower count is undefined, indicating he has yet to fully translate his efforts into a larger engaged audience.
To grow his audience on X, Manuel should leverage his storytelling by using more engaging visuals and regular Q&A sessions to deepen follower interaction. Tweeting case studies on his projects’ successes and failures with actionable takeaways can establish him as a go-to entrepreneurial voice while building community through collaborative threads.
Fun fact: Despite being only 22, Manuel has already crafted fully working products like the Vaulty password manager and actively shares failures and successes publicly, embracing the #buildinpublic mindset.
Top tweets of Manuel De Ceglie
I’m starting to think people forgot how to think. What happened to @emanueledpt and @andi_losing (getting their products cloned) is ridiculous. Not because someone “got inspired”… but because people are now copy-pasting entire products. Guys.. they literally behave like zombies omg. No brain, not even the decency to change a font or mention the original builder. I think that inspiration is normal. Cloning is a form of stupidity. If you can’t even put 1% of yourself into what you build, you’re not an indie dev — you’re a like a parasite that just hopes the algorithm will save him. Building for the same audience is fine. Solving the same problem is fine. But copying a product pixel-for-pixel is proof you’ve thought exactly zero thoughts. You want to succeed? At least think. Add something. Remove something. Improve something. Show that you have a mind, that you can do something more than just copy-paste. Because if your “strategy” is CTRL+C → CTRL+V, good luck outshining the person who actually did the work. You’ll always be a cheaper, lazier version of someone else. Someone had to say this.
