Matt’s so obsessed with making every dollar count, I wouldn’t be surprised if he tries to monetize his own birthday party—‘How to lead gen your way to a cake and balloons with zero budget.’ Just kidding, but honestly, with 520 follows and running 1,854 tweets, he’s probably single-handedly keeping Twitter’s tweet count alive.

Matt’s biggest win is launching and sharing an extensive free guide that not only amassed over 50k views on a single tweet but also positioned him as a go-to resource for performance lead gen newbies hungry for genuine, no-fluff advice.

Matt’s life purpose is to educate and empower others to capitalize on lucrative marketing opportunities by simplifying complex concepts and providing clear, actionable guidance to help them achieve financial independence and business success.

Matt values transparency, hustle, and cutting through the nonsense in marketing. He believes in hands-on learning, practical results, and the importance of mindset in achieving success. He also shows a distaste for dishonest practices, emphasizing authenticity and ethical approaches.

His biggest strengths include deep expertise in direct response marketing, the ability to create high-engagement, valuable content, and a no-nonsense approach that resonates with both newcomers and industry veterans.

Matt’s blunt, sometimes confrontational style risks alienating more sensitive followers and might limit his appeal to audiences who prefer softer communication or more diplomatic engagement.

To grow his audience on X, Matt should leverage more engaging multimedia like short videos or threads that simplify complex marketing strategies, while also balancing his tough-love style with a bit more approachable, community-focused interactions — responding to comments and celebrating follower milestones can help build long-term loyalty.

Fun fact: Matt has shared a comprehensive 25-page free guide that breaks down performance lead generation, including beginner-friendly verticals and profit strategies, showing his commitment to helping others start with nearly zero cost.

Spent a lot of time reviewing LinkedIn profiles and websites of lead gen buyers & sellers: - No niche focus, "We buy/sell SSDI, FE, Medi, ACA, Auto, MVA, etc..." When everyone buys everything why are you special? How can people differentiate who is the best?? - Super generic websites, "Your growth and innovation partner for AI marketing solutions!!" - Terrible pitches "Are you looking for qualified calls and leads? Hit us up!!!" This industry is ripe for being shaken up, holy shit. How we position ourselves: - Messaging about generating leads in ONE single vertical. If you buy/sell in multiple verticals, create different brand names/companies on your LinkedIn profile. Our goal is to look reputable and demonstrate competence for ONE vertical only. Dumb ass brokers still keep asking me if I'm generating traffic in other verticals. NO, I'm not read my fucking linkedin profile... - Website actually has our names & faces on it, has clear offer info, and isn't generic AI bullshit. VSL for specific, new offer coming soon. - I do not waste time playing games with 100 different brokers, I'm only looking for the 5 or so BEST partners, maybe more for overflow. This industry feels like a game of bullshit artistry and telephone. You're chatting with a broker who is chatting with a broker, who is chatting with the direct buyer. A lot of this B2B positioning stuff I learned back in the day from @thedanielfazio, so homage to him. He would literally run laps in this industry; people are so stupid here, yet they make so much money.

Reconsidering whether I should spend time here teaching lead generation to beginners. Not because it wouldn't get me a ton of followers; It most definitely would. But because I don't want to be known on here as the "lead gen biz opp guru." More and more, I'm realizing the highest leverage use of my time is to just build software and systems while capturing the highest value opportunities that come our way. It's absurd the type of internal tools that can be built right now, and if you're already established in affiliate/lead gen, it'd be silly for you not to dedicate resources to building an edge with software. That and keeping the mindset dialed in are all I'm focusing on. If you're looking for advice on how to get started in Lead Gen, I might post that Lead Gen Profits doc again. You really just need to learn media buying, build a quiz page, and focus on delivering results. That's it. But still, I'm realizing that most people I meet are working 12-16 hours per day so they can make money to start living the life they want... Doing things that should be automated or delegated... When they can simply start living it right now. I've been studying math a bit each day, some programming, and would love to get back to my roots as an electrical engineer. I have the itch to build things and work towards mastery, not become a guru. I'm sure I'll shape this account's purpose more over time, but I don't have the patience to become an information guru. Not sure if anyone will read this, but I had to put it out there.

Just finished reading @StefanGeorgi latest email on "Grand Strategy" and it comes at a perfect time. As an affiliate and now an offer owner, the biggest mind game you play daily is avoiding the urge to give in to the next hot thing. Every day as an affiliate, I was bombarded by "Top Offer" emails with juicy EPCs (likely fake)... And now, even as an offer owner, it's tempting to do so many things: "Let's try out GDN and Connected TV ads, I hear CPMs are cheaper there." "What if we built out another flow to sell more calls instead of just leads?" "Let's try launching Spanish versions of our ads, I see people running them on Meta." "What if we partnered up with insurance brokers and wrote our own policies?" But like Stefan writes in the email, operators like myself who have unlimited aspirations and limited resources, we need to focus on specific objectives that lend themselves to our grand vision. There's truthfully zero need for us to do anything other than crack a singular traffic channel (Meta) with one offer flow. And if you're an affiliate or want to graduate to owning an offer, you need to narrow down the scope of what you work on. Go vertical, not horizontal. Either way, great email, highly recommend everyone go read it.
