Today was supossed to make advances on automating ideation, but some calls, an interview and life got in between.
Wait, did I say automating ideation?
Yep. That's right. We all have our mental systems even if we don't notice. And while I wouldn't ever (at least with current state of AI) run it fully on auto, a big portion of it can surely be automated - and even improved.
Since what I do starts with looking at competitors/outliers, even from other niches, gathering that data will be the first step (don't even pretend you don't also do this lol)
So I started researching options, which are:
- Bad
- Worse
- Even worse
Basically we have to choose between a very limited API and rotating very limited api-keys (what a nightmare) or chill with scrappers until the scale makes it a real chance to get an IP ban
Second option is better for starting and can "easily" be scaled with containers. Seems good, right?
Well, depends on what data you want. Just basic info (titles, views, etc)? Fine, you can get a whole channel at once.
Want also more specific data like duration (which I'll want for @tubechefai š)? Then we're forced to fetch each video one by one.
Not an issue, just an inconvenience.
So right now we already have how to get that data. Next step will be actually doing something with that data.
