Holy shit, Duolingo just absolutely schooled me. 🤯 They have research showing that “streaks” are a negative retention feature. - Adds stress to users - They quit when they break them. The relentless section is PERFECT because it’s non-binary and based on momentum. What would you change the streak text to under recent activity? I included chat gpts recommendation.

I thought a course on learning to code would NEVER sell. But it did almost 100k in 48hrs. I think this really shows - A. The majority of people are beginners. I don’t mean this in a rude way but there are far more beginners than experts. B. I don’t really know anything about what the market wants, just ship it and see what happens. C. MARC is an absolute gangster, hate all you want, I’m taking notes and laughing to the bank.

$2799 - August income 1. DeskHub - $2284 2. HuntCaster - $515 This is my 2nd month Indyhacking. I am sure people have done better, but I am feeling pretty damn proud of myself. I would love to say “just follow this recipe and you can do it too!” But that would be a lie. I think the only takeaway I can give is go bold. Try to think -> what are people unwilling to do, and then do that thing often!! For me that was silly (cringe) videos + products that were different. I don’t think this is as powerful for new comers anymore ( I’m sorry ). My final piece is, you could make 3k a lot easier ways, with probably 10x less stress and effort. But I love this shit, I love this community, it would be a DREAM fucking life for me to stay at home with my kids and sell my crazy inventions on the internet. I think about it all day, dream about it, brush my teeth about it, I could go on forever…. I went from depressed and anxious to an absolute fire inside me and still very anxious lol. Thank you everyone, your support means so much more than I can explain 🙏

Shipfast is dead. Last year I built 10 different projects, some made $500+ and some made $20k+ A better founder could have scaled any one of these projects to $10k+ MRR a month. My problem was simple. I believed a business idea was not good unless it grows viral like a tik tok. $800k in one month, or it's a failure. But there is a simple fix that will take me ( or anyone ) to $800k. It’s definitiveness of purpose + patience. I can prove it. Rob Hallam -> Purpose = Obsessed over helping people grow on X Patience = Works on Super X and makes content about it everyday for months Outcome = 7k mrr and steady growth Marc Lou -> Purpose = obsessed with helping and inspiring people to make money with sass online Patience = Works on datafast and makes content about it every day for months Outcome = 6k MRR and growing I could keep going with examples all day. Until you pair definitiveness of purpose + patience the power that dictate growth and abundance will not answer. This cannot be faked. Don't misunderstand, you NEED to ship fast. But more importantly, ShipFocused.

I almost lost everything. I was not going to share this (dark) but figured it might help some. 4 months ago I was at couples therapy, which I really don't enjoy... my fianceé started the session with tears in her eyes by saying "I am leaving you". WHAT. I pretty much went into complete shock for the next 48 hours. My worst nightmare was becoming reality. What hurt most was thinking about my kids and what this would do to them. Over the last year I had spent every hour either working on a startup or playing with my children. I thought I was doing what was best. But my relationship with my fianceé had become 18th priority. she tried telling me, but I wasn't listening. I was spending 26 hours a day in my basement trying to build the next facebook and iphone at the same time, while trying to make youtube videos, X posts, etc.... I pretty much quit everything immediately, and my full time job became repairing our relationship. I am happy to say that today things have never been better at home. We are a team now. We communicate, and strategize, and work on things together. We play and have fun again. We are doing life together. Moving forward I have reduced my life from 50 buckets to just 3. My family is the first bucket. My health, mental and physical is the second bucket. Building apps and posting about the process is the third. To everyone that reached out asking where I was, thank you so much and sorry for not getting back to you all. It meant the absolute world to know soo many of you actually cared about me being gone ❤️🙏

I have almost 300 people on a wait list for my first product. 🤯 - still haven't made my landing page public - wait list was a free app on google - built solo, in under 2 months - I have one feature - I raised $0 This time around I have dropped the ego & followed the advice of those more successful. Its working.

I am launching DeskHub on Product Hunt this Sunday. This is a bootstrapped product, I have built in my basement after my kids go to bed. I have put my heart and soul into this. I’m not crying… 😢 Was an unexpectedly emotional experience to pack and ship the first pre release unit of DeskHub. I’ve put soo much pain, sweat, and tears into this project. I hope you guys can feel it. Every unit is hand made by myself with love in the USA. ❤️

Dadpreneurs I need you again, 🙏 With both partners working ( self-employed ). How are we setting up the day to day, or week to week to ensure we are making progress in biz, spending time with family, keeping ourselves healthy, etc....
