My lil guy showing off his walking skills!! He took a lap around the living room, through the kitchen, back to the dining room!! I only caught half of his tour, but it was AWESOME to see! 🤩 Had his 3 year IEP meeting last week and they say he’s got the cognition of an 8 months old. I guess if he can’t talk or sign, that’s what you’d think since he scores low on standardized tests. But when you spend time with him at home, you’d call BS on that 😉

He said he wants to transform his body this summer… I said he needs to train for football in the fall Today was Day 1 and we started with legs 😁

14 days to go!! Lighting is terrible but oh well. I know most of the women I’ll compete against will be on PEDs, and I’m not. That’s fine. I’m not doing this to win, I’m doing this because it’s hard. The next 14 days is the part that gets really hard, and I feel the mental push/pull. It’s the friction that creates growth. When you’re a leader, it’s important to do things that are hard, so that you put yourself in position to be coachable again. Being in the shoes of those you lead reminds you what it feels like to be them, and if you’re aware enough, you can grow in your leadership ability by trading shoes with them. Right now, I’m doing my best to listen to my coach, and trust her, even though I know I won’t be as lean as the other ladies, and that’s by design. This is where my friction is, and my personal growth.

Guess who met a goal today!!!!!! He CRUSHED IT in fact!! He was supposed to do this with minimal help and he did even better than that!! He’s a champion that puts in the reps to reach the goals and doesn’t stop until he does (not that we’d let him 😉) but I swear a lot of adults have forgotten what it feels like to be a kid who just keeps going no matter what. He reminds me every day to push for that inch ❤️

Done! And DONE! In a week when it would have made sense not to…when no one would have argued otherwise…when 2 of my closest people asked me not to… A quiet voice inside me said, “despite the odds and good reason, if you do it, you cannot fail” and so just showing up was the win. And then I took 4th in the 45+ class in the bikini category. Sprinkles on the cupcake 🧁 Nite y’all ✌🏻

Decision fatigue is real ppl Set up failsafes in your life to minimize small decisions so you feel less chaotic with the minor decisions, Freeing up your mind to make the major ones and be creative Outsmart yourself 😉
