#FlexFriday The first picture is when I was 14 years old in 1971, growing up on the family farm. I don’t think I weighed 100 pounds. I was a skinny shy kid back then. The second picture is 1997 and I was 40 years old. I think I weighed 150 pounds here. I’d been lifting off and on during my 30’s, but by the time I got into my mid 40s, I totally quit and started on my descent into fatassdom. The third picture is in 2022 when I was 65 years old. By this time I'd ballooned to 240 pounds at 5’ 5” tall and was an absolute mess. I had to use a CPAP + oxygen for sleep apnea, I had asthma, arthritis, high triglycerides, high A1C, was becoming pre-diabetic, and had an almost nonexistent testosterone level of 80 ng/dl. Doctor urged me to make a change. The fourth picture is me a year and a half later in 2024 at 67 years old. I’d corrected my diet, done a lot of walking to lose weight, and started lifting weights again in March of 2023. This picture was taken 13 months after I picked up my first weight in a gym in over 25 years. I feel better, am in better shape, and I think I look better now than 27 years ago when I was 40. It took a long time to get here and the road was definitely not smooth. Wish I had done it sooner, but better late than never.
