The next time someone asks you how to REALLY learn zero knowledge proofs, refer them to... The RareSkills Book of Zero Knowledge: rareskills.io/zk-book 14 chapters long (and growing), it is an open source version of our zk bootcamp. This is the same educational material our students use to implement zkps FROM SCRATCH, so it is MAXIMUM ALPHA. Unlike other zk resources, this was written with the typical smart contract engineer in mind, and takes the most direct route from zero to implementation without taking shortcuts. There is no way to make the learning journey for zero knowledge short -- it relies on numerous unfamiliar concepts that individually take a couple weeks to really grok. However, we have aimed to make this the most efficient path possible while also leaving good mental models to make future learning even easier. Total word count, not including formulas and source code, exceeds 35,000 words. One unique feature of this book is that several chapters were written in response to common points of confusion among real learners in our bootcamp. Much of the work has been edited for clarity in response to student feedback. It is more like an average of several learning journeys rather than one author's opinion. This is battle-tested content! Why would we release this for free if our zk bootcamp is paid? Our zk bootcamp is intended for people who need to make the most of their time. Learning this subject on your own, while possible, is going to be slower. So if you are determined to learn zero knowledge, and time is more valuable to you than money, our bootcamp is for you. But for everyone else, enjoy this free resource! It took us over four months of full time work to create it, so the opportunity cost easily crosses the six figure mark. The Rust compiler is famous for being one of the safest compilers in the business. But how does it work behind the scenes? If you have a decent grasp of Rust, but maybe are a little fuzzy on how compilers work, we have just the video for you. @rv_inc formal verification engineer and Rust instructor at RareSkills Daniel Cumming walks you through the different stages of the compiler and how the internal representation of the Rust program changes through each stage. Learn Compound V2 Today, you are able to complete in one place: the RareSkills website. The resources are linked next, but here are the names of the resources: [1] Free Solidity Tutorial (0.8.19 with Foundry) [2] (use /blog/tags/proxy-patterns) [3] The staking algorithm of MasterChef and Synthetix [4] The RareSkills Uniswap V2 Book [5] The RareSkills Compound V3 Book (okay we don't have Compound V2, but close enough) We help you tear the foundational protocols apart down to the number of decimals each variable holds. When you deeply understand a battle-hardened protocol, deviations from best practices will be more obvious. Our protocol books obsess over details that are not documented elsewhere because 1) you need to know the information; 2) we try to illustrate what deeply understanding a protocol looks like, something that we feel is underemphasized. Knowing "how to get a flash loan from AAVE" or "how to swap on Uniswap" or "xy = k" or drawing a contract interaction chart is great, but not sufficient past a certain point in your journey. We teach these subjects in our bootcamps, so we estimate a highly motivated person working through the roadmap above could comfortably complete it in about 20 weeks. We usually see that getting to the nuts and bolts of Uniswap V2 on average takes devs 5 weeks if they have a full time job. If you want to be able to answer tricky questions about the protocol that are designed to throw off most developers or auditors, 6 or 7 weeks may be necessary. It takes longer than most estimate! Our resources don't merely throw a bunch of information at you. At the appropriate times, they include relevant exercises from Ethernaut or DamnVulnerableDefi or our own Solidity Riddles. For over 6 months, we've been writing a large body of work that explains the Uniswap V3 codebase. As you can imagine, this is no small piece of literature! Instead of waiting until everything is done before publishing, we decided to start releasing the portions that are finished now, rather than keep the useful alpha in the dark We will compile all the blogs into a single resource, but right now this collection of articles has no name (Uniswap V3 Book is already taken — do you have suggestions?). The first article we are publishing today is “How Concentrated Liquidity Works in Uniswap V3." This article is rich in animations and even includes an interactive widget. Of course, the bulk of the investment went into making sure we explained everything as clearly as possible. We'd like to thank @andrewcmonte and @deadrosesxyz for their helpful reviews that contributed to this. More will be published in the following weeks. This is one of our biggest content investments to date. Making such an intimidating codebase digestible is a huge task, and we're excited to be at the stage where we can release some highly polished articles about it.

New blog post is up: Coding a Rebase Token Rebase tokens (aka rebasing tokens) are quite common in DeFi, but there are surprisingly few educational resources on them. Therefore, we created a tutorial for how they work, how to create one, and the pitfalls of using them. Since it is easy to make a mistake when implementing a rebase token, we got our code audited. Thanks to @ChainLight_io @deadrosesxyz @PashovAuditGrp for donating some of their valuable time to help with this. We wanted to make sure not only that the code is correct, but that we included all the appropriate warnings that you can leverage when auditing a rebase token or a codebase that interacts with one.
