Hey John, we get it, you've got wisdom to share, but sometimes it feels like your tweets come with a PhD requirement! Ever consider writing a guidebook titled 'Meditations on Music and Life: The John Mayer Manual?'

John’s biggest win is the emotional impact his music and tweets have had on countless fans, helping them navigate their own life experiences through his relatable and empathetic storytelling.

To inspire others to reflect on their lives and find beauty in everyday experiences, while fostering meaningful connections through music and shared memories.

John believes in the power of vulnerability, the importance of honoring memories, and that each moment has a lesson to offer. He values connection—both with people and through music—as a means of navigating life's challenges.

His strengths lie in his ability to weave profound narratives from personal experiences, connect deeply with his audience through authenticity, and offer motivational reflections that encourage others to embrace their journeys.

One potential weakness is that his thoughtful, sometimes nostalgic tweets may not always translate into immediate engagement, as they require deeper contemplation from the audience.

To grow his audience on X, John should consider hosting regular 'Ask Me Anything' sessions where followers can interact with him directly, allowing for real-time engagement and discussion on topics he’s passionate about.

Fun fact: John Mayer has an exceptionally high tweet engagement rate, with one of his tweets racking up over 1.6 million views, showcasing his ability to resonate deeply with his audience.

San Francisco, night 3/3. This music has made me a better player, and this band made me a better person. I was given the opportunity of a lifetime - to have access to the greatest songbook in modern music, and the deepest well of life memories shared by hundreds of thousands of Deadheads who extended their grace and acceptance to me. I learned to compromise, and to take other people’s chances along with them. I learned to play in real time, to express myself without the distraction of ambition or expectation. I learned to listen, to have musical conversation, and most importantly, to be a part of something much bigger than myself. It was never about me. It was bout “it” - that spirit that a band and a crowd could go looking for together. If I’ve done my job right, I’ll disappear into that beautiful tapestry, the one that began almost 60 years ago and will continue to expand for lifetimes to come. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for embracing me and my place in this band, and to Bob, Mickey, and Billy - I’ll never be able to fully express my gratitude for your taking a chance on me. Something magical happened on this tour, and I don’t think any of us saw it coming. @deadandcompany is still a band - we just don’t know what the next show will be. I speak for us all when I say that I look forward to being shown the next shaft of light… I know we will all move towards it together. This band changed my life, and I love you all for it. An incredible tour, an unforgettable ride, and a beautiful world of memories to visit. I’ll be seeing you…. ⚡️♥️⚡️ 📸: @jayblakesberg and Joshua Hitchens

Thank you Francisco Lindor @Lindor12BC. Thank you New York Mets. You never know when you’re going to find a new source of inspiration, and Francisco became that inspiration for me this year. You could see the dedication in his eyes, in his plays - you could even see it in his strikeouts; it wasn’t a case of “couldn’t,” only “didn’t that time.” My Sphere concerts this summer became games in my mind. Wins were when the music was cooking, when the notes matched the intention, when the zone could be found. Every weekend was a series, and every show was a home game. When I injured my finger and looked down to see half the nail sheared off and bleeding, my first thought was how to play with the other three fingers. That was what Lindor would have done, and so that’s what I did. The Mets’ talent makes them aspirational, but their humanity makes them relational. It means that it’s never out of the question what’s being done on that field could be done by you and I in our pursuits, too. If I had one secret of success to share with you, it’s to pick someone in life you admire and run alongside them. You don’t have to know them to decide that if they can keep going, you can keep going. And the Mets kept going. I hope that in the next few days, after the disappointment has had its say, that Francisco and the entire team realizes that what they accomplished was enough. Their monumental run was enough to unify a city, bring together families, friends, and remind us all that above all else, nothing is more powerful a force in achieving success than effort. A boring word, “effort.” But it’s the only chance of good becoming great and that greatness taking hold for the long run. So thank you Francisco Lindor, and thank you to the 2024 Mets for the unbelievable adventure, the inspiration, and the reminder to never give up. It was more than enough.

As a long-time watch lover, today is a very special moment in my life. I’ve teamed up with @AudemarsPiguet to create a limited edition Perpetual Calendar Royal Oak, an iconic watch that I - like other collectors - hold in the highest esteem. This version features some unique design touches, including a brand new dial manufacturing process that gives the effect of staring up into the night sky. Also exciting is the news that this won’t be the only time AP and I collaborate; I have been given the honor of joining this incredible team via my new role as Creative Conduit, and I look forward to carrying forward my passion for all aspects of watchmaking and collecting through this inspiring partnership. Stay tuned….This is going to be a whole lot of fun.

When @alessiacara sent me an incredible track she was working on called “(Isn’t It) Obvious” and asked if I’d be a part of it, I knew it would be fun to play on. What I didn’t see coming, however, was how open-minded she’d be when it came to a guitar solo. Guitars on pop songs usually get approached pretty conservatively, but Alessia sat across from me and gave me so much creative freedom that I ended up playing things I never have before. She kept encouraging me to explore further, and the result is a really striking musical moment, and an exceptional pop song with a futuristic bent… and that’s what it’s all about. Give the song a listen, and enjoy the videos of what I really sound like when I’m trying to “land a new trick.” Thanks Alessia for the push to go further. You’re a true artist. ♥️

All my career I’ve been experimenting with custom sets of guitar strings, and for the past few years I’ve been working closely with @ernieball to develop what I consider to be the ultimate set for my playing style. Today, I’m delighted to introduce my new Silver Slinky signature electric guitar strings. The gauges are perfectly situated between .010 and .011 sets, and feature special core-to-wrap ratios. The tension is exactly where I’ve always wanted it - big enough to get great tone, but nimble enough to finesse those vocal bends we as guitar players are always going for. I’ve been using them for the past couple of years, and now it’s time to put them in your hands. Head to ernieball.com for more.

File under “whatever it takes”: this shipping crate stashed behind some road cases in the loading dock of @SphereVegas houses a couple of my guitar amps that are mic’d up and being heard with the rest of @deadandcompany. If you happen to be walking through, you’ve got no choice but to hear it! Bonus points if you can name the song I’m playing.
