As I build out features for and develop LinkNest.sh further I notice something happening. It's like you develop a "base" and then continue to pivot and develop from there. Recently added user-to-user messaging, and a live editor for editing profiles, and found myself worrying not so much about some earlier infrastructure because it is built out already. I've found this makes building more rewarding. Perhaps this is because I'm not starting from a blank canvas that I have to get "perfect" I have something I like and continue to build off that :). I'm sure there is some wisdom in here about how the first step is the hardest but in any case just wanted to share my thoughts. Continuing to build LinkNest.sh haters or not.
I do find it pretty hard to stay motivated when you work a fulltime job and have little ones to also handle during the day/night and you are trying to build something. Not going to lie without AI I'd probably have never gotten off the ground with any of my ideas outside of work. The site has been online for months but I consider this more of the "release" update. I just pushed a huge update to my app linknest.sh - Upgraded to ChakraUI V3 from V2. - Added monetization for users - Added a lot more security and overall polish Its not got AI in the product itself right now, but I figured if users are going to use my app as least make it so THEY can make money. I think 20% recurring commissions is a pretty good deal. Anyway, I'm sure I'll post in the other community, but I wanted to post here first since none of this was easy. The 10 startups in 10 days people are kidding themselves. So much was learned through failure: - Google OAuth - Stripe - Stripe Connect - MERN setup - Docker You get the idea (didn't use Vercel or Supabase). Appreciate you guys
