He then posted on Twitter asking for help, offering a $1 million USDT reward to anyone who could assist in recovering the funds. The case is still under review. But before any resolution, a competing exchange in the same sector seized the opportunity—calling on mystonks users to move their assets over, and offering a $50 USDT bonus per user. The focus quickly shifted from a frozen-funds incident to a battle for users between exchanges. Timeline of Events August 13 ▪️@thcaroline2233 tweeted that $6.2M USDT deposited to mystonks could not be withdrawn, and offered a $1M USDT reward for assistance. ▪️Mystonks @MyStonks_Org responded, stating the funds were frozen due to enforcement action by regulators, and the user was required to provide documentation. August 14 ▪️The founder of mystonks @BTCBruce1 tweeted that the platform had suffered over 20 million DDoS attacks in the past 24 hours. ▪️Just 30 minutes later, another wave hit—over 80 million DDoS attacks. At the end of the day, the user should come first. From what I’ve seen, mystonks and its founder have been proactive in addressing the issue after it went public. However, as a young platform, they still lack the capability to resolve such problems before they spiral on social media. In cases of major fund freezes, the platform should immediately reach out to the client to resolve the matter, rather than waiting for them to post a public plea. In my view, the temporary FUD around mystonks is understandable. As a promising pioneer in the RWA sector, the platform has already achieved notable results, but there’s still significant room for improvement in public relations handling. The RWA track is still in its early days—it’s unrealistic to expect the level of polish seen in traditional brokerages right away. Progress will come through continuous exploration. I also hope the user can recover their funds soon.
