Sometimes you need to take a step back to admire a stunning achievement, like the launch of this powerful European rocket. An incredibly complex and impressive machine at the forefront of what is technologically possible, with almost zero margin for error. Today’s spectacular first launch of #Ariane6 puts Europe back into the game of flying its own large missions to space. It includes an innovative upper stage that can be re-ignited several times to bring various satellites to different orbits – and to the Moon. 👏     Working together across a multitude of Member States and Stakeholders in Europe is not always easy, but because of that, the outcome is even more so inspiring. It’s a great testament to the teamwork of European states, industry, space agencies and the @EuropeSpacePort in French Guiana. Thanks to all the engineers, technicians, and other dedicated humans involved, for all their hard work they put into this truly European project! Now, the next logical step for Europe to remain at the table of key space players is to build a vehicle that can return cargo and experiments from space back to Earth.
