I was delighted to join @AldersgateGrp & @Ed_Miliband to discuss #COP29 and what comes next. It is vital that businesses and governments continue to work together to drive climate action and unlock economically effective solutions.

Last week I was at #COP29 pushing for a step change in global climate action. As average temperatures are on course to exceed the 1.5 degree limit this year, it is vital that we act decisively today to protect our planet and our people.

Each year we pay tribute at the Cenotaph to the courage of our brave armed forces. We owe the freedom we enjoy today to their sacrifice. Today and every day, we will remember them. #Lestweforget

Congratulations @realDonaldTrump. The American people have spoken at the ballot box. The special relationship between our countries transcends politics. It is essential to prosperity and security on both sides of the Atlantic that the strength of that alliance endures.

It was an honour to present @yulia_navalnaya with a @womenofyear Award. She is a symbol of resilience and courage, advocating for justice and reform in Russia after her husband’s death at the hands of President Putin’s regime.

A pleasure to speak at the launch of the @Independent Climate 100 list during #UNGA & @UN Climate Week. We are in a race against time to protect our natural resources, defend our way of life and grasp the economic opportunities of the transition to renewable energy.

It was a privilege to be introduced to the @UKHouseofLords today. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the work of Parliament and public life over the years ahead.

The inclusion of a new Mental Health Act in the King’s Speech is to be welcomed. The Wessely review in 2018 and successive @Conservatives governments have laid the groundwork for modernising the Act - I’m pleased this work will be continued by the new Government.
