The Builder

Surge is a no-nonsense solo builder thriving at the intersection of blockchain and AI, passionately innovating on the NEAR Protocol. Surge's social strategy is basically 'build it and they will... maybe eventually show up if they read enough dashboards.' If only enthusiasm for subtle graphs translated into viral memes, you'd have a Netflix special by now!

Climbed to #2 on the NEAR Protocol leaderboard with under 250 followers, proving real builders can outshine the noise without resorting to AI gimmicks or follower bloat.

To empower the blockchain community by transparently tracking and visualizing transaction data, enabling users and developers to better understand and leverage decentralized finance flows.

Surge believes in building with honesty and substance over social media theatrics, valuing real product shipping and meaningful insights above follower numbers and hype metrics.

Exceptional ability to independently analyze complex blockchain data and translate it into accessible tools and insights that drive ecosystem awareness and growth.

The solo builder approach may limit scalability and audience reach due to fewer network-building efforts and lower emphasis on self-promotion.

To grow your audience on X, amplify your human side: share more behind-the-scenes stories, challenges faced during building, and quirky discoveries in your work to create relatable content that invites engagement beyond your technical insights.

Surge built a dashboard analyzing NEAR intents, showing $6M+ in fees generated and revealing detailed liquidity movements across major blockchains — all independently indexed and shared openly.

This morning I indexed every @NEARProtocol Intents 1-click transaction and built a dashboard to see which apps are actually generating fees Here’s what stood out: > $4.8M total fees so far > Nearly half of it came in the last month > @SwapKitPowered and @zashi_app completely carrying > Many other apps still keep fees off or super low as a public good Chart’s looking borderline exponential Feels like the start of revenue season for Intents curious to see how this evolves going forward Check out the dashboard below

Everyone’s asking: where do the funds on @NEARProtocol Intents come from, and where do they go? Yesterday I indexed the data and posted a dashboard, today I upgraded it to show inflows/outflows Here’s what jumps out: > @zashi_app is selling large amounts of BTC and SOL, with $15.8M BTC deposited > EVM chains, @ethereum , @0xPolygon , @Optimism , and @base are net receivers of liquidity, seeing significant outflows from intents as users swap assets onto these networks > USDT and USDC have high outflows ($364M and $180M), showing people are swapping into stablecoins and exiting other assets > ZEC volume huge and biased towards buying Key takeaway: Overall, people are selling BTC, SOL, and XRP, while buying ZEC and stablecoins, and moving liquidity onto EVM chains Checkout the dashboard through the link below Keep in mind, this only tracks 1-click app integrations on Intents

Based on the data I indexed from the intents explorer @NEARProtocol intents just crossed 7M total fees generated If this pace keeps up we’re gonna need a bigger chart

Just hit #2 on the @NEARProtocol leaderboard on @KaitoAI . Started with <100 followers, no AI slop, no cringe engagement bait. Just shipping actual stuff. Yeah, the leaderboard doesn’t really mean much, kind of a silly metric. But it’s still proof that if you build cool things and talk about them with some honesty, people notice. Now sitting at 250 followers, while the average in the top 10 is around 60k. So if you’re on the sidelines thinking you need 100k followers to be relevant in crypto you really don’t. Just show up, build something real, and talk about it like a human. That’s it.

Yesterday afternoon I got home and decided it was time to ship, grabbed some coffee, locked in for a few hours, and now @solana is fully supported on SurgeSwap You can plug in with most wallets like @phantom and just swap straight to any chain powered by @NEARProtocol intents Below’s a quick demo of @solana@base and it’s looking real smooth. Also cleaned up the icons so most assets actually look good now + did some big code cleanup to make it all easier to work with. If anything feels off, just ping me Don't forget to check it out, link in replies

My autonomous trading agent built with @NEARProtocol intents + @BitteProtocol is finally showing signs of life. I tossed it $50 and left it running over the weekend. It proceeded to make some extremely beta male trades on the $SOL run up and took almost no profit... Best way to improve it is observability, built a clean dashboard to monitor PnL and track all the agent’s reasoning as it trades How the whole thing works: > Deposits into @NEARProtocol intents > Scans news, TA, price swings, volume nonstop > When something moves (or its own positions do), it fetches a quote and trades using intents’ internal balances > Swaps BTC, ETH, SOL, SUI all from one NEAR account Setup was way simpler than it looks, didn't need to set up transaction flows for each chain and just used a single NEAR account to trade everywhere @BitteProtocol made the agent part dead simple. I just built some APIs for market data + quote building, then hooked it to a DB for memory. That piece is key if you want it to handle longer term trading. Goal: make this 1-click deployable (Vercel/Railway) so anyone can spin one up. Also planning to publish it as a simple SDK. Demo below, stay tuned.

Autonomous agents got lost in the noise. Too much hype, too many Twitter bots, not enough real utility. What I’m building is different. A way for people to deploy their own agents, keep full custody of assets, and still plug into the best tools out there. The first POC used @NEARProtocol intents because it was the fastest way to tap into all the markets from one account. But it’s just as easy to swap in @rhea_finance, @AftermathFi, or @JupiterExchange through the @BitteProtocol tool registry and runtime. Think agents that optimize yield by auto-recompounding on @suilendprotocol . Or watch market trends and exit pools before IL hits Now imagine you can deploy your own in a couple of clicks but keep custody It’s time for agents that deliver real personal value instead of glorified demos
