Since I haven’t made a proper introduction, I think it’s time to say a couple of things about myself. 😅 My name is Petar. I live in Serbia, and I’m currently in my last year of college. I only have my graduation thesis left, but that will be soon. I quit my first 9-5 job this year, hoping to find a better company, because the one I was working in was very toxic. I found a new company, but after 4 months I got fired because I didn’t fit the corporate lifestyle (a.k.a. going to Friendly Fridays, team buildings, etc.), despite proving my skills and work outputs. That made me realize the corporate workspace is not for me. In the meantime, I founded an agency with my uni friend and started working with clients. We were building websites and small apps (ecommerce, CRMs). After a while, I found out that my co-founder was lacking interest, and the position in our country was not so promising (people not knowing the real worth of digital products), which made me less motivated and held back. That made me think about everything I was doing... “Probably this career is not for me...” After a long period of thinking, I told my co-founder that I needed some space and a mindset shift. And now... I’m here. Focused on building small, useful products. Things that solve real problems for freelancers and creators, not corporations. No investors. No clients. No support. Just learning, shipping, and iterating. This phase is about regaining control, rebuilding purpose, and seeing what’s possible when you bet on yourself. Hope you enjoy the process and learn along the way with me 😀

Seeing a lot of people asking if there are positive or negative impacts of AI, whilst we see a lot of people faking or just trying to manifest their MRR with their "newest web app" or "breakthrough optimization tool" they've built in some absurd amount of time (aka 1-3 days) I think that people need to understand that AI is just a slop and it will remain a slop. Yes, inline code completion is half AI half prediction, but full fledged apps built with v0, Cursor, Claude Code, Loveable or any other new coming tool for agent coding, are built by people wanting to make money on the internet ASAP. Not bashing nor denying the fact that the situation with agentic coding and vibe coding is here and present, but I think that the Startup community and Build in Public community are centralized about building stuff people want and need, making connections and not just promoting things that will "boost your productivity by 100x" or just take someone's money and break in a few month's

Has anyone tried this stack: - Angular + NestJs for building - Prisma as ORM - Supabase as database - Supabase Auth for auth - Paddle for payments Any thoughts?

My honest opinion is now final! Next.js is just a pure mud smudge... - server rendering enforces hydration mismatches that cascade into client-side re-renders - top-level layouts trigger on every dynamic route despite static intent - server actions bind mutations too tightly to components without built-in optimistic updates or error boundaries AND THE WORST - documentation scatters conventions across RFCs, app router vs pages, and partial Turbopack support Too much overlap and conventions that currently I can't find a right source to read from and apply. I think Next.js should only be a solution for SEO optimized websites with low to none API calls and logic. Giving TanStack a try and finding out how it fits me. Any heads up I need to know about?
