If Biden and his circle ignore the overwhelming majority of voters who want him to step aside, that's their decision, and the anti-Trump coalition will still fight like hell to win. But the argument that the real problem is the people who are trying to get Biden to reckon with what most voters can see and hear with their own eyes and ears is preposterous. It's lunacy. Most voters are not anti-Trump political junkies like many of us. Biden's got our votes. He'll probably still get ~90% of his 2020 voters. That's not the issue here. The issue is the decisive number of voters who aren't locked in yet. Their problem with Biden isn't that pundits and politicians and journalists told them he's not up for beating Trump. Their problem is that millions of them watched Biden give an incoherent debate performance, an incoherent ABC interview, an incoherent NBC interview, and have seen clips of those incoherent interviews on social media. Maybe they'll ultimately decide that a President who can only speak coherently on prompter is still better than Donald Fucking Trump - that's certainly my decision - but let's not insult voters' intelligence here by pretending they're being persuaded by internal party drama when absolutely none of the data shows that to be true.
