The Lagos State Govt tweets so much that if each tweet were a notification, your phone would probably need a personal assistant just to keep up with it—all for that one person who still asks for an ‘on the ground’ update!

They successfully increased Blue Rail Line trips to 72 per day, introducing fare discounts and significantly enhancing public transit in Lagos.

To foster open communication between the Lagos State Government and its citizens, ensuring transparency and community involvement in governance.

They believe in inclusivity, transparency, and cultural heritage, promoting a shared understanding among the diverse population of Lagos and supporting collaborative governance.

Their greatest strength lies in their effective use of digital platforms to engage with citizens, share vital information in real-time, and drive community initiatives.

With such a heavy focus on updates, they might occasionally miss the chance to engage in deeper conversations or individual community interactions, leading to a more generic approach.

To grow their audience on X, they should consider integrating interactive content like polls, real-time Q&A sessions, and live coverage of state events to create a closer connection with citizens and encourage participation.

One fun fact about The Lagos State Govt's account is that it has tweeted over 53,000 times, which means they’ve probably provided more updates than your favorite news outlet has in a year!

SANWO-OLU CONGRATULATES YORUBA ON ISESE DAY The Chairman of the South West Governors Forum and Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Yoruba on Isese Day being celebrated across the six South West states today, August 20.  Governor Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, praised the people of the South West, particularly traditional rulers and traditional religious worshippers, for sustaining and preserving the cultural heritage of the Yoruba people.  The Governor said although the world has become a global village, with an attendant result in multiculturalism, the Yoruba people have unique culture and traditions that must be preserved for the future generations. He commended all the traditional rulers and people of the South-West for upholding these cultural and traditional virtues of the Yoruba race.  He however charged them to use the occasion of today’s celebrations to remind themselves of the importance of the Yoruba “Omoluabi” ethos, which include tolerance, hospitality, peaceful coexistence among ourselves, different religious groups and our neighbours, noting that these must continue to be the hallmark of the Yoruba people. Governor Sanwo-Olu, who declared a public holiday in Lagos State to commemorate Isese Day, also praised his colleagues for declaring today a public holiday in their respective states for the celebration of Isese Day. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gboyegaakosile @gbenga_omo @BSaluHundeyin @Mr_JAGs #LASG #AGreaterLagosRising
