The Ultimate Ecom Content Team Structure So were spending hours on end recording looms on the processes and systems within our agency for our new digital product: the EditFlow Playbook. One of the chapters in there is hiring and building a team, with that we've made quite an extensive subchapter on "The Ultimate Ecom Content Team Structure". Explaining how we use our pod system. The loom attached goes into detail on: Starting solo: The founder begins by generating ideas and either filming content themselves or working with a UGC creator. Editing is the first task to outsource. Step 1: Hire an editor. Outsourcing editing frees up the founder’s time to focus on creative direction and ideation. Step 2: Add a designer. Once video editing is handled, bring in a designer to cover static creatives. Step 3: Hire a creative strategist. This person develops concepts, writes briefs, and coordinates with editors/designers. This is the start of building a “pod.” Pod structure – A pod typically includes: 1 creative strategist 2–3 editors 1–2 designers The strategist manages the pod and ensures execution. Step 4: Add a creative director. As the number of pods grows, a creative director oversees quality, manages the strategists, and becomes the founder’s main point of contact.
