My honest take on @SolanaConf as I leave NYC: (This was my first-EVER Solana event — So maybe the feedback will be useful to anyone who’s thinking of venturing out into the ecosystem and to the event organizers) 1. I didn’t need to be a dev to understand what speakers were saying 🔧 There was a great lineup of speakers and many talks did not require advanced technical expertise but were consumer-focused instead. That was refreshing to me. 2. A third of everyone I met was a creator 📸 And a ton of people were walking around with a DJI Osmo, a camera on a gimbal, or some kind of a recording device. I LOVED it and it made me feel like I belong. 3. Attention to detail was 💯 From deodorant, Q tips, Bobby pins and lotion in the bathroom to soft (non fluorescent light) — To the Solana crew wearing matching uniforms — full onesie “space” suits (get it, cuz “ship or die”? lol), there was a lot of thought put into things. 4. The food didn’t make me bloated 🍱 And you guys know I’m picky. There were fresh veggie dips, asparagus salad, bagels, burritos, and the crew just walked around letting you grab what you want from trays on wheels instead of you lining up and waiting. The coffee was good and they had matcha too. 5. It wasn’t cringe.🫣 Like, not even a little bit. When I hear “Solana,” it’s sometimes in the context of a rug, a stunt, or something super degen. This wasn’t that. It was mature, fun, and calm. Overall — I enjoyed Solana Accelerate a ton. It might have been my first but it won’t be my last. 🙏

Final side quest ✔️ This wraps up not only my @token2049 but also an entire Asia tour. I went to Indonesia, Japan, Korea, and Singapore with WalletConnect, doing work I love, meeting people I admire. Forever thankful I jumped down the crypto rabbit hole. No return.

The tech (I think this is pretty obvious)… WalletConnect powers *millions* of transactions. 🌎🔌 I can even bet that YOU’ve used it today.😌 This tech is the very backbone of blockchain. There’s no future without WalletConnect. 3). The actual work My title is Community Lead. And as such, I get to help grow and nurture the WalletConnect community from the very heart.
