Cory’s the kind of guy who’d rather debug a twenty-tab browser session than throw a wild virtual party on X — you can always count on him to be quietly working while the rest try to go viral with dance challenges.

Launching multiple robust projects over a decade, including a life timeline tool and a well-respected tech platform, Cory has proven his ability to consistently build meaningful products without the need for celebrity backers or hype-driven growth.

Cory’s life purpose is to create lasting value through entrepreneurial ventures that solve real-world problems while fostering open community knowledge-sharing. He aims to empower others by demystifying complex tech and sharing the journey of building businesses independently and sustainably.

He values integrity, transparency, and quiet competence, believing in steady, thoughtful progress over hype and flashiness. Cory trusts in community-led innovation, sharing knowledge to improve collective outcomes, and prioritizing sustainable growth instead of short-lived trends.

His key strengths lie in combining technical mastery with entrepreneurial grit, consistently shipping projects that are both useful and thoughtful. Cory’s ability to communicate complex ideas in an approachable way builds trust and draws in like-minded followers.

With a preference for subtlety over self-promotion, Cory might miss out on wider viral exposure, as his content appeals primarily to an audience appreciative of depth rather than hype. Also, juggling numerous projects solo can limit bandwidth and rapid scaling potential.

To grow his audience on X, Cory should lean into storytelling by sharing behind-the-scenes moments of his ventures and personal challenges, making the entrepreneurial journey more relatable. Engaging more frequently with tech communities through threads introducing beginners to lesser-known tools like Django could also expand his reach.

Fun fact: Cory’s Hetzner server is so affordable and reliable, the provider didn’t even bill him one month — talk about a tech win that pays for itself!

Riffing on a concept to Make Django Great Again* Django is great and powerful, but also dated. Its lack of opinions makes it difficult for beginners. Also, it is no longer "batteries included"—many things that are now considered standard practice in other frameworks are offloaded to a confusing ecosystem of third party packages. All the bits are there but you have to glue them together yourself to get something working. Experienced developers can quickly be productive in Django, but beginners get intimidated by all the options and work and give up or switch to something with a less steep onboarding curve. A more friendly, more productive, more opinionated Django default project would have things like: 1. A built in CSS framework with an out-of-the-box, recommended set of tools for working in that framework. Presumably Tailwind, maybe later configurable. 2. A nice, simple default UI for standard views (landing page, signup, login, logged-in). 3. A recommended way of providing SPA-like functionality, with built-in reference for doing that. Presumably HTMX, maybe later configurable. 4. A standard recommendation and included tools to support deployment. There's much more you could add (tasks, email, crud, etc.) but you'd also have to draw a line somewhere. The first cut would be the bones of @saaspegasus but free, open-source, and with no included "features". Just a sane starting point to run with. Curious if this resonates with Django people and if there are things that should be added to it. *It probably needs a less politically-charged name
