I'm the girl in the picture and original poster, you'd know that if you had done the bare minimum and clicked into the post. Chloe knows this, as we are friends. there is no joy in this photo, not in any where a child's healthy body has been torn apart for the profit of adults.

I got hrt at 14 after a 30min therapy session and a hr long assessment at the clinic, and a mastectomy at the same age after another 30min session with the therapist and a 15min consultation with a surgeon. it took 2hrs and 15min to completely change my life as a middle schooler.

you're "sorry I have to go through this" but you think it's totally okay to do to other little girls? falls a little flat. I don't care how "valid" you think my "journey" is, I was mutilated and you think that was okay. you're no better than the people who did it to me.

aesthetic flat closure look like the skin is stretched over bone, bc it is. they scrape the chest wall, often removing muscle, to remove every bit of breast tissue to prevent recurrence of cancer. trans mastectomies leave tissue behind, bc they're trying to immitate a male chest.

i didnt cry the whole 3 years i was on T, it basically ruined my ability to manage my anger and appetite. i was diagnosed with BED and in treatment for anger management, no one suggested that whole time that T might be an issue. those issues completely resolved when i went off.

3/ "no, that's a very permanent and risky body modification based on feelings we don't know will stick around, and it will change the way people see and treat you forever." you can get a split tongue sewed back together, I can never get my natural voice or breasts back.

please don't say this. my parents were emotionally abused by my therapist. they were led to believe that it was settled science, that I was meant to be male and the only way to keep me from killing myself was mutilation. they were victims too, the evil doctors are the abusers.

they are. they're being told by older TIMs online that wanting platonic intimacy with girls and being sensitive means they aren't actually boys, and will surely kill themselves if they're allowed to progress through male puberty uninterrupted. it's sick and disturbing.

my consultation for the double mastectomy was in January '19, so again including the time waiting for the appointment, it took 4 months for me to be approved for an elective amputation. the surgery was in June, because we wanted to wait for the summer between 8th and 9th grade.
