When the hospital in Ibadan didn't have electricity for 100 days. A certain family had to bring their generator to Power the ward as their baby was on Oxygen support or what do you people call it. The baby was not getting any better, so they flew the child out of the country. In that same ward, the cousin of this family was also admitted and died shortly because there was no electricity. The Family powering the ward was personally unavailable. Did anyone on Twitter know this happened? Nobody shared? Lack of electricity in Nigeria kills!! it's not ok that these things happen in 2025. The way a company hires is how they will treat you once they hire you. US Company sends you interview invite: please pick a time you are available for this interview. Nigerian company sends invite : your interview will happen tomorrow 4pm!! Very disgusting behavior.

Today I'm having a feedback meeting. 💔😌 I just got rejected for a global design role after 3 interview stages. My second interview was with a Head of Design with 25 years of experience. I learned a lot and was shocked to even make it past that stage. Then I got invited to the case study phase with 2 Lead Designers. I was shocked again that I made it through. I made it past a giant with 25 yes exp. I prepared 10-page slides for each stage. I presented my case study. They were friendly, honest, and taught me what it really means to think like a senior. Today I’m meeting the recruiter to understand why I didn’t make it to the final step. I won’t lie, I’m heartbroken. This role would’ve had me working with teams from Germany, South Africa, the UK, Ireland, and Austria… with my own UX researcher, PM, and manager. I was expectant. I was ready. But I’m still grateful. I know I’m close to my “yes.” Close to the right global team. Close to the culture and opportunity I want. Maybe not this year. Maybe next year. But it’s coming.

I want to mentor 2 people UI/UX DESIGN FOR FREE. Requirements 1. Have time to do assignments I give 2. Own a laptop and internet. 3. Be very inquisitive 4. Do the assignments I give on time. Thank you.

Here’s what raising a dog taught me about UI/UX design Onboarding matters. When I first brought my dog home, there was no onboarding flow. Just chaos. No tutorial, no FAQ, just pee on the curtains, we had to raise them all up. Imagine signing up for an app and immediately breaking your couch. Eating cables and barking when we are not in sight was not pleasant at all Microinteractions are everything. A tiny tail wag = user delight, User Experience A growl = user frustration. A chewed shoe = rage quit. Error states need to be clear. If my dog had a proper 404 page, it would say: “Oops, your sandwich no longer exists. Redirecting you to sadness.” Accessibility is key. If you don’t put food at eye level… he’ll still find it. His Nose is super sharp Truly accessible design. User testing is brutal. You think you’ve designed the perfect workflow? Give it to a Lahsa Apso. If it survives teeth, paws, and drool, congrats. it’s ready for launch. Consistency builds trust. Say “walk” once → excitement. Give it an instruction 10 times before it learns the command. Consistency matters, people. Raising a dog taught me: users (and dogs) don’t care about your pixel-perfect design.
