First rep says she can’t answer questions, only book me an appointment for their "special event" going on today and tomorrow. Ask for a salesperson, she says they’re too busy and no one can call me back until after the event (so, sometime later this week) Five minutes later, another BDC rep calls. Can’t transfer me, can’t email anyone, can’t even confirm if the car exists. Just keeps pushing the “event.” This is why people hate buying cars. ARE YOU KIDDING ME GUYS 😐

A dealer refused to speak with me today because they ‘don’t work with brokers.’ I told them I'm not a broker and work directly for my clients. That only made them less interested. Funny, isn’t it? Every once in a while, a car will surprise me. And I love when that happens. After all these years, you think you know what to expect going into a test drive. But the BMW X7 surprised me. You expect a full-size SUV to feel heavy and slow. This one doesn’t. It’s a family hauler that still drives like a BMW. It's balanced, smooth, and way more capable than it looks. Big. Comfortable. Surprisingly fun.

The best part of this job? When a deal obliterates your client’s expectations. 💥 He didn’t want to spend more than $53K on his truck. Best options were 2025 XL's equipped as he needed @ $58K → $53K after discounts. Then I got lucky… Found a 2024 F-250 STX with a $61k sticker for $49K. We got it through a relationship with a fleet sales contact I work with that wasn't posted on their site. Getting delivered to my client (here on X) next week! Way better truck. Way less money. And yes, I come with receipts. 👇💰

Stability feels addictive. The first time you take an EV truck through a highway ramp, you notice it. There's no bounce or skip. The wheels are firmly planted on the ground. Driving old cars and being wealthy is incredibly illogical. Driving a car is statistically one of the most dangerous things we do day to day. If you have the means to afford a newer, safer vehicle, you’d be a fool to save a few bucks and risk you and / or your loved ones. If you can’t afford it, then that’s a different story. He was quoted $58,000 before dealer add-ons. By the time they tacked everything on, the out-the-door price was headed toward $65K. He called me first. I think I dodged a bullet today. Had a lead call Thursday. She missed the Saturday follow-up she asked for, then rescheduled for Sunday. The whole convo was about why her last broker “charged less.” Turns out, he didn’t. He baked profit into the deal, on top of his fee, and only sourced from two dealerships. She just didn’t realize it. I explained I charge a flat, transparent rate and don’t play those games. She said she’d go back to him and “ask him not to do that this time.” Then she missed our next meeting. Pretty sure Alex Hormozi was talking about this exact scenario: “The less a customer pays, the more problems they cause.” Did I dodge a bullet?

Couldn’t sleep, woke up at 4:30. Checked my phone and saw new lead for a car. Before I left to the gym, I’d found a match, emailed the client, & sent financing app. By Mile 2 on the tread: funding approved. Before 9am: deal closed. Moral of the story: start your own business. Make money while you make muscles. On your own time. 💪🚗💵

Name for me a vehicle worse than the Jeep Compass Go ahead and try, you absolutely can't. This model keeps getting worse.and worse with every iteration, At a job 15 years ago I drove the early models and nothigns changed. This model keeps getting worse and worse with every iteration. The engine nearly had a hernia pulling out into traffic. The seating position feels like it was made for children. I couldn't believe how many I saw on the road coming home, no less than a dozen in 15 mins. The worst part is, this segment is SO competitive. There is absolutely no reason not to be driving the CX-5, CRV, or even a Bronco Sport over this. PLEASE REACH OUT IF YOU HAVE ONE. I'll be happy to cut my fee in half to get you out of your Compass and into a car you can actually enjoy. What a pile of absolute sh*t

Parents, what's your strategy for first cars? I had a client dead set on buying his teenage son a new-to-him car. Meanwhile, their perfectly good MDX was sitting in the driveway. Slow, but not too slow, very safe, and reliable. Simple solution: Dad gets the new car, teen gets the trusted family SUV. Obvious in hindsight. Not so obvious when you're a working parent with everything on your plate. The teen got in a minor fender bender a few months later. The old MDX held up. Everyone was fine. Now his second son needs a car, and the same MDX is getting passed down again. Both boys learn to drive in a safe, reliable ride that's already survived teenage driving adventures.

This could be the biggest release of 2026 and beyond. If they can capture the Rivian experience in a $50k SUV, there’s going to be zero reason to buy a Tesla Model Y which is already one of the best selling vehicles in the world.

Luxury isn’t what it used to be. 10 years ago, you needed a Mercedes or BMW to get heated seats, a quiet cabin, and premium materials. Now a fully loaded Kia or Mazda can give you the same experience for half the price. If comfort and quality are the same, what are you really paying for?

Once you've driven manual, it's hard to go back to automatic. So if you could only drive one way, which would you pick? No wrong answers, just strong opinions.
