Abbas might be the only guy who has talked more than a blockchain node can process — at this rate, even Vitalik might ask him to slow down and give the rest of us a chance to catch up!

Launching the Founder Success initiative at the Ethereum Foundation, Abbas has created a pivotal platform that directly supports and accelerates the growth of new Ethereum-based projects and their creators.

To foster a thriving ecosystem for Ethereum founders by enabling meaningful connections, providing mentorship, and simplifying complex crypto experiences to accelerate innovation and growth.

Believes in the power of community and collaboration as the engine for technological advancement. Values transparency, clarity, and practical support for founders as essential to unlocking the full potential of blockchain technology.

Exceptional network-building capabilities combined with a deep understanding of the Ethereum ecosystem and unwavering commitment to founder success. Skilled at translating complex crypto concepts into accessible guidance.

Sometimes the sheer volume of communication and enthusiasm for Ethereum might overwhelm newcomers or dilute his message, making it challenging to focus audience growth strategically.

To grow his audience on X, Abbas should amplify storytelling around founder journeys and breakthroughs while incorporating more bite-sized, clear explainer threads. Engaging interactive Q&A sessions and spotlighting community wins will boost engagement and broaden his reach.

Fun fact: Abbas has tweeted nearly 29,000 times — talk about dedication to keeping the conversation alive! He’s also known for cutting through crypto jargon to make onboarding smoother for newcomers, as seen in his real-life hardware wallet saga.

My sister has been using @binance to store her crypto. I gifted her a hardware wallet and asked her to swap her USDT for Eth to onboard her to custodial wallets and the experience was terrible. Here's how it went: 1) She sends 1000 USDT to her new hardware wallet on Arbitrum 2) Wants to swap USDT to Eth on uniswap but apparently the transaction requires gas 3) Goes back to the exchange and sends Eth on Ethereum mainnet 🤦‍♂️ 4) Tries swapping again, but there is not enough gas 5) Doesn't understand Eth is also a gas token on arbitrum and other L2s - I explain it to her and she goes back again now to bridge this Eth 6) Tries bridging and it costs too much, So I asked her to check @AcrossProtocol which is cheaper and faster 6) Uses Across to bridge successfully to arbitrum 7) Tries to swap USDT to Eth and the transaction doesn't go through 3 times due to slippage. 8) Finally the 4th time goes through and she finally buys Eth. Maybe that's why people prefer centralized exchanges 🤔

JOINING EF TO SUPPORT FOUNDERS 🚀 I’ve joined the @Ethereum Foundation to help launch a new initiative called Founder Success because I’m passionate about Ethereum and the possibilities it unlocks for founders. Ethereum isn’t just technology. It’s the foundation for the next generation of products, communities, and organizations. I believe it’s the best place in the world to build, and founders are at the heart of making that future real. With Founder Success, our mission is to make sure builders have the connections, guidance, and resources they need, whether that’s fundraising, GTM, mentorship, or launching new products. Ethereum grows when we build together. 🌱

Vitalik’s new essay is one of his most important in years. Let's break it down for those that didn't read it yet. Low-risk DeFi could be to Ethereum what search was to Google. For a long time, Ethereum apps fell into two camps: 1) Apps that made money but were not sustainable (NFT hype, memecoins, speculative DeFi). 2) Apps that fit Ethereum’s mission but did not bring enough economic activity (ENS, privacy, prediction markets). The missing piece was something that could do both. Vitalik says that piece is now here: low-risk DeFi. Things like stable payments, savings, collateralized lending and synthetic assets. The simple financial tools that people everywhere actually need. Why now? Protocols are more secure, the infrastructure has matured, and while risks still exist, they are no worse than traditional finance. In many parts of the world, traditional finance is actually riskier. This matters because: - It generates real fees and uses ETH as collateral. - It fits with Ethereum’s culture and long-term goals. - It has a clear purpose: giving anyone, anywhere, safe access to money and savings. Like search for Google, low-risk DeFi could become Ethereum’s main source of economic strength. But unlike Google, it aligns making money with making the world better. And this is only the start. These basic tools can unlock more advanced things: credit, hedging, flatcoins, new forms of value. Ethereum’s killer app might not be speculation or hype. It might be something billions of people quietly need every day: secure payments and safe savings.

In less than 8 hours, I’ve already earned over $200 on @baseapp which is from trading fees and someone coining the post. I’m committing to posting for the next 30 days and donating all earnings to builders and creators on @base. Would love if @jessepollak and @brian_armstrong could match the donation to support creators and builders. Tag your favorite creators in this post or comment yourself if you're one.

If the Trump administration really wants to earn the respect of the crypto community, he should pardon @rstormsf. Roman didn’t steal from anyone or launder money. He built tools that protect privacy, the same kind of privacy that underpins free speech and financial freedom. When Trump pardoned CZ, he said people around him told him “he wasn’t guilty of anything.” I wish those same people tell him the same about Roman. Because this isn’t about politics or profit. It’s about standing up for builders, for open code, and for the idea that privacy isn’t a crime. @BarronTNews_ @EricTrump shooting my shot, I know you guys can make it happen.

Vitalik just published a vision that stretches far beyond Ethereum. It is about why every layer of technology, from chips to wallets to health data, must be open and verifiable. Here is a breakdown for those who will not read 7,000 words today. 1. The core thesis Closed systems cannot scale trust. If users cannot verify, they are forced to blindly trust institutions or black boxes. As more of life moves into digital systems, that trust model becomes brittle and dangerous. 2. Hardware If chips or hardware have hidden backdoors, everything on top is compromised. The solution is verifiable hardware: designs and manufacturing that can be audited so users know their devices are secure. 3. Finance DeFi is one of the best early proofs of verifiability. Fully collateralized lending, transparent stablecoins, and onchain payments allow users to see what is happening under the hood. The principle is that money should not depend on promises you cannot audit. 4. Health Medical records and genomic data are incredibly personal. Today they are often siloed by corporations. Vitalik argues they should be stored in ways that patients can verify, control, and share on their own terms. 5. Civic tech Voting systems, digital identity, and public records must be open and verifiable. If they are not, entire societies risk capture by those who control the black boxes. Public legitimacy requires public auditability. 6. AI Models are becoming a key layer of decision-making in the world. If they cannot be inspected, society loses agency. Open and verifiable AI is needed to make sure we are not ruled by algorithms we cannot understand. 7. The common thread Whether it is money, health, governance, or AI, the answer is the same: sovereignty through verification. Openness is not just ideology, it is resilience. Closed systems break trust when they fail, but open systems let trust scale because anyone can check. 8. Why it matters now The internet is no longer separate from real life. Every major decision in society will increasingly depend on systems built by humans and run by machines. If those systems are closed, power concentrates. If they are open and verifiable, power decentralizes. Vitalik’s call is not for one product or one chain. It is for a direction: build everything in a way that can be verified, and build it so that anyone can do the verifying. Ethereum is one example of this philosophy, but the scope is bigger. Openness and verifiability are not optional features of technology. They are the safeguards that protect us from digital dystopia.

Abstract is the sleeping giant of consumer blockchains. The onchain numbers are consistently growing and they're onboarding a unique set of applications. Currently averaging 250k transactions per day and that number has spiked double of that in past months. Abstract has global wallets to provide a good onboarding experience since they're a consumer blockchain which can be used to track new and existing users. Wallets deployed have gone between 70k to 40k over the past month. As of June 2025, per @0xCygaar, @AbstractChain ranked 3rd in revenue among Ethereum L2s, after just four months of launch. A few teams have already crossed $1M in revenue on Abstract in recent months. While I don’t have direct data to confirm, Cygaar highlighted it, and it’s impressive given it happened without major fundraising or token launches. That said, the future of any chain lies in its vision and builders. Abstract has done well in shaping a narrative around creator onboarding and in building a robust ecosystem. Their ecosystem looks great with apps and games like: - @PenguClash - @PirateNation - @MoodyMights - @DeathFunGame - @RoachRacingClub - @playgigaverse Overall, I think @LucaNetz, @0xCygaar, @CashBowie, @0xLoMel, @masoncags, @jarrodWattsDev and the team are building something strong. The founder success team is also bullish on chains like @AbstractChain, and worked alongside Gigaverse during their recent fundraising.

Alipay’s Layer 2 Is the Most Bullish Signal for Ethereum Yet Alipay, the world’s largest fintech app with over a billion users, has launched Jovay, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Ethereum. This isn’t another startup experiment. It’s a signal that the next phase of global finance is being built on Ethereum rails. Alipay is the payments arm of Ant Group, the fintech giant born from Alibaba. They process trillions of dollars in payments each year, serve over a billion users, and operate one of the world’s most advanced digital finance ecosystems. In China, Alipay isn’t an app; it’s an infrastructure layer for daily life, payments, loans, insurance, identity, mobility, and more. And now, Ant Group is taking that infrastructure onchain. @JovayNetwork is an Ethereum Layer 2 developed by Ant Digital Technologies, the enterprise blockchain arm of Ant Group. According to its description, Jovay focuses on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs), enabling instant, low-cost transactions, and integrating cross-chain value flows with institutional-grade security. In simpler terms: Jovay is the infrastructure layer where regulated assets meet open blockchains. Ant Group could have built on anything. They could have gone private chain, built their own stack, or used a permissioned network. Instead, they chose Ethereum, the most decentralized, secure, and composable settlement layer in the world. That decision isn’t technical; it’s ideological. It means the largest fintech in the world now trusts Ethereum’s architecture to host real financial assets. This is the first time we’re seeing a trillion-dollar fintech building directly on Ethereum infrastructure. It means: ✦ Mainstream onboarding: Alipay users could soon interact with Ethereum-native assets without realizing it. ✦ RWA liquidity: Billions in tokenized invoices, supply chain assets, and digital bonds could flow into DeFi liquidity pools. ✦ Regulatory bridge: Jovay could serve as a compliant, high-trust interface between global capital markets and onchain ecosystems. ✦ Enterprise confidence: Ethereum has become the default trust layer for global institutions. For years, critics said no major institutions would ever touch Ethereum. And yet here we are, the world’s largest payment company is building its future on an Ethereum Layer 2. This is what winning looks like, slowly and then all at once. Billions of users won’t “enter crypto” through speculation. They’ll enter because their money, identity, and assets will simply exist on secure rails. Jovay is the quiet start of that transition, where traditional finance stops competing with crypto and starts merging with it. The next billion users won’t even know they’re on Ethereum. But we will.

After an incredible journey, I’ve decided to part ways with @Scroll_ZKP. This was my first time doing ecosystem BD after transitioning from B2B sales and I couldn’t have asked for better mentors than @razacodes and @koreanpeds. Lots of ups and downs, but even more learnings. Scroll is now the largest payment chain, with over $50M in EtherFi Cash alone. The best is yet to come, keep an eye on them. As for me: I’ll be taking a short break to reset and reflect before diving into my next chapter.
