I’ve just seen the criticism of @michaelstrahan. Let me tell you this, I don’t know if I have a friend who is more proud of his military roots than Michael, growing up on an army base constantly talking about what he learned from his dad Major Gene Strahan and how his time there shaped him. I heard it CONSTANTLY, still do! But also, with no fanfare i personally saw him donate thousands of dollars of clothes to veterans, including many homeless veterans as well clothes for veterans to go on job interviews. I know these days people want to be angry fast but maybe first, how is THIS for a novel idea. ASK him if he’s protesting something. When you protest you want people to know, don’t ya? He was NOT, just got caught up in how beautiful the whole moment was during the anthem and didn’t think about it. Ask the dude before forming an angry mob, but also maybe find out alllll he’s done for our veterans over the years.
Sometimes you have to deal with the rain to get to the rainbow… or two in this case This pic from our wedding this week captured one of the coolest, most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life. It also was a great reminder to have faith even when the skies are dark… this coming from a guy who’s spent a lifetime of trying to deal with gray skies between my ears. When we first began our wedding ceremony the skies grew gray and it began to rain. In the past something like this on such a big day could have gotten me down. Getting married outside in rain is certainly not ideal. But I chose to react differently this time. No matter how gray the sky was I was going to see some blue. So, we shook it off and said, “well, if we were meant to be married in the rain maybe it’s our loved ones crying for us.” Then all the sudden the rain began to let up, the skies opened and THIS came out. How about THAT!! The most incredible double rainbow became the coolest backdrop ever for a wedding just as we said our “I Do’s” and our celebration began. I literally said. “Rosie, what a beautiful lesson… have a little faith in those gray times bc the other side there could be a rainbow, or two!” I found that soulmate to admire a double rainbow with after a lifetime of gray.
