The Connector
Meet Charlie, the go-getter who spends 2025 crafting stunning iOS applications while leading the charge on web accessibility as a web developer at EasySurf_CA. With 4441 tweets under his belt, he's clearly on a mission to build community and share insights that matter!
Charlie, we get it, liking your own tweets is a bold strategy, but we all know you're just looking for validation like a puppy chasing its tail—adorable, but maybe put that thumb to better use and engage with your audience instead!
Charlie's biggest win is creating a community around his products, resulting in his first sale of ColourEasy within just a day of launching it, all thanks to his knack for networking!
Charlie's life purpose is to empower others through innovation and accessibility, using his skills in iOS development to create inclusive tech solutions that bring people together.
He believes in the power of community and collaboration, valuing shared knowledge and the importance of accessibility in technology. Charlie stands by the idea that everyone deserves access to quality digital experiences.
Charlie's strengths lie in his ability to build genuine connections and create a supportive environment for others while driving engagement with his insightful content.
However, Charlie occasionally grapples with impostor syndrome and hesitates before sharing his projects, which can deter him from maximizing visibility for his work.
To grow his audience on X, Charlie should host live Q&A sessions or Twitter Spaces where he discusses accessibility and app development to directly engage with his followers and showcase his expertise.
Fun fact: Charlie made his first sale just 24 hours into his #100DaysToSolopreneur challenge, proving that a little community support goes a long way! Who needs sleep when you have hustlers rewarding hustle?

Day 1 of #100DaysToSolopreneur Achievement Unlocked: Make first $1 I MADE MY FIRST SALE! Since starting this challenge 24 hours ago I have been absolutely blown away by the support in every direction. On top of the likes, comments and follows i’ve also had people reach out privately to say they’ll be starting the challenge too! I really hope if you’re looking at taking the first step this motivates you. @callmeeugenius, myself and others embarking on this journey are petrified too - but we’ll get further together. Now, what have I been up to over the past 24 hours? I had planned to spend my time today on preparing for the launch of my first product. But, within an hour of posting my first step last night I had my first sale! What?! How did this happen? Let me explain what and how! First, what did I even sell? A lifetime deal for the first project of this adventure - ColourEasy. ColourEasy is what happens when a developer and accessibility consultant starts spending a bunch of time with the brilliant designers here on X and notices no one has really solved one of their largest problems. Colours that POP! C’mon. We’ve all seen it! Beautiful professional design studio landing pages with more purple than a cadbury wrapper. Playing it safe, because much to contrary belief being a Designer is a human-centric process. Bold, dynamic colour palettes take time, testing and refinement. Well, they used to. Simply, upload your brand asset. Then ColourEasy extracts and analyses your existing palette to instantly recommend tailored, accessible colours that are guaranteed to make you stand out. The lifetime deal as picked up by @MichaelScottBlu is available only for the first 50 (now 49) orders. To be honest, I thought the first time I would mention ColourEasy by name would be at least a couple weeks away. I had a marketing plan, you might have noticed the seeds in my recent colour-focused polls. I thought i’d share a few teaser videos, then drop a link! I’ve seen how it works on X and drive a bit of ‘hype’ is always worthwhile. But, we’ve had to accelerate the plan a little bit because i’m committed to this 100 day journey and #buildinpublic and I couldn’t keep this from the wonderful people that have joined this journey. How did I sell it? I built community. I stopped hesitating. I showed proof. Build Community When I first started on X I jumped into building a product called Qruickly to learn about productising a service. I met some amazing developers, designers and founders. The first time I posted a screenshot of the homepage of Qruickly, half a dozen people jumped on to provide valuable feedback - for free! I was blown away. I was immediately committed to trying to provide the same value. I will never stop commenting on posts asking for advice, sharing great ideas and at least a couple times a week i’ve slid into someone’s DMs to provide some free consulting. (I even had some of the greats like @lizengco provide roasts for my landing page). So when I saw @MichaelScottBlu’s post looking for new tools I knew I needed his eyes on my new project. I did not expect him to purchase a lifetime plan. Building community allows me to give and receive opportunities I would never have encounter otherwise. Stop Hesitating But I didn’t comment on that post straight away. What if I didn’t deserve it? What if ColourEasy wasn’t ready? What if ColourEasy was ready, but I wasn’t? I’ve asked myself variations of those questions a hundred times. The common term for this is Imposter Syndrome. I’ve given presentations and public talks on Imposter Syndrome like i’m some expert on confident zen- I’m not. I asked myself variations of these questions when my partner and I opened Good Growin’ Mushrooms just three months ago. We’re just about to hit six figures in revenue. Stop hesitating - the worst is guaranteed if you do. Show Proof Social proof. Proof of commitment. Proof of product. I’m unsure which one swayed Michael in the end. (I’d like to think an overwhelming mix of the three?) I know what i’m an expert in and I stick to sharing value and insights related to these topics. But that’s not all social proof requires. I also don’t pretend to be an expert in something i’m not and I ALWAYS ask the question instead of pretending to know the answer. That means i’m surrounded by people that can be confident in my expertise, comfortable questioning me and trusting in our relationship. I first spoke to Michael quite near to the beginning of my journey on X. Back then I promised to stick around, to keep trying and failing. So did dozens of people, that I don’t see around anymore. I didn’t show false wireframes of what the project could~ be or send a 5 minute pitch video. An idea should be validated on it’s merit not a pipedream of what it could be. Whilst I know if I had waited a couple days I could have made the improvements to UI that I wanted, a customer wants to know if a tool will solve a problem now. It’s clear that when Colour Easy is launched it solves the problem from Day 0. So what’s next? We’ve hit our first goal of $1 much faster than expected. Remember, by day 100 we’re after $10k revenue and 3K MRR. Our next milestone: $75/100 revenue. $0/1 MRR. To achieve this we’ll pivot and adapt the original release plan. Over the next day i’ll finalise my list of early adopters and reach out to offer them exclusive deals and early access. This will be essential to gather early user feedback and prioritise features these users want. Luckily, some of these won’t be ‘cold’ calls due to that community building. Michael has also put on his Christmas elf hat and we’ll be giving away a lifetime license of ColourEasy soon. Secrets out! Link in first comment.

Storytime: A surgeon ruined my life, left me with chronic pain, a mobility disability and set me off on a journey where I spent years going through medical system to end up with CPTSD. All this talk about TherapistAI makes me want to mention one thing - accountability. But first, the story: About a month after my 18th birthday I had sharp pains in my abdomen that left me in hospital. It became clear, with no complications, that I had appendicitis. Simple routine surgery. Except, when I woke up the pain was worse, way worse, and more widespread. Turns out, the surgeon had misplaced a clamp and I was left with permanent nerve damage, intense pain and now unable to reliably control my upper thigh. The most simple term for this is Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome. It took a number of years to understand I was now disabled, and just as I began to understand and adapt I began experiencing new symptoms. The pain in my stomach began to expand, I could no longer keep down food, I experienced full body tremors and over the next couple years I lost 40% of my body weight. This period, the doctors I spoke to, the specialists I saw and the tests conducted could fill an entire book by itself. If I were to write a book on this period, it wouldn’t be a bestseller - each chapter would highlight how I was confused, scared, felt less than human and how I further had my agency removed by abstract systems. After abusing the financial privilege I’d encountered through teaching myself to code a private specialist finally declared the pharmaceuticals prescribed after my original nerve damage had caused the failure of a valve in my oesophagus and I had Extreme Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. At 24 I underwent a 180 Nisan Fundoplication, a surgery normally reserved for those much passed retirement. Now, I walk with a cane, deal with chronic pain and have to keep a strict eye on my diet. I also wake in the night, sweating, with no control over suppressing the memories of when I was no more than a lab rat, a fun experiment, something to be poked and prodded. Now, what the hell does this have to do with TherapistAI? Accountability. When I tell this story, the first of two questions I will get is “Did you sue?” To be transparent, I haven’t and will not. That’s a decision I get to make. It’s a decision I made because I understand, at every step there has only been humans making human mistakes. There has also been humans providing empathy and understanding, forced to work in a broken system. I don’t think others will be so understanding, when their child or loved one suffers, due to someone with no relevant qualifications using semantics to skirt a regulated field. Today, I work in digital accessibility because I truly believe that technology is the equaliser. People should have access to instant, cheap mental health care and technology is the way to achieve that. We are accountable for the technology we create, if @levelsio wants to play therapist, I hope he’s willing to take accountability when things go wrong.
