Beth, with all those tweets, we’re starting to think your thumbs have a deeper relationship with the keyboard than you do with most people in real life! Just kidding—it's your heart that truly gets a workout, but could it slow down a bit? We’re not all on the same spiritual caffeine high!

A significant achievement for Beth is her masterful ability to rally support during her major health challenges, notably her spine surgery, which not only highlighted her vulnerability but also galvanised a loving and prayerful community.

Beth's life purpose is to inspire individuals to seek a deeper relationship with Jesus and to embrace the complexities of human experience through thoughtful dialogue and mutual respect.

Beth believes in the power of diversity, the importance of nuanced conversations, and the necessity of applying scripture to modern issues. She values authentic relationships and recognizes that faith is a personal journey that doesn't always align with societal expectations.

One of Beth's standout strengths is her ability to engage her audience in deep and meaningful conversations while maintaining a compassionate and approachable demeanor.

Sometimes, her inclination towards nuanced discussions might lead to mixed interpretations of her messages, which can leave some followers feeling confused about her stance.

To further grow her audience on X, Beth could consider hosting regular Q&A sessions or live discussions where followers can submit questions or topics for her to address, allowing for real-time engagement and connection.

Fun Fact: Despite her extensive tweet count of over 68,000, Beth still manages to keep her audience engaged with genuine and heartfelt interactions, demonstrating that quality often trumps quantity!

I have to tell y’all something. For the last 48 hours my physical pain has dropped to about 20% of what it has been for — I’m not exaggerating — YEARS. And it could even get better than that! I’ve had this constant sense in the last two days of, whose body is this??? Y’all don’t know how many times I tried to get just from my bed in the morning to the kitchen and would have to stop at every piece of furniture and bend over it and groan. “Help me, Jesus. Help me.” I’m aware this recovery is long and not linear and I’ll go back-and-forth between good days and bad days. The surgeon told me from the beginning it would not be my last surgery. I’m still tremendously restricted in what I can do and will be for months. But I’m not waiting a minute longer to give public praise to my gracious God, my merciful Savior, my life and hope and joy. I could never have imagined feeling this way again and can’t remember the last time I did. Years ago. For all of you who live with unrelenting pain (which by no accident is many of you fellow writers with its brutality on the body), I want you to know I get it and, though I don’t know you personally, lift you up before God‘s throne regularly. With what’s wrong with my bones, I’ll almost certainly be there again unless God forbids it. I know what it’s like to brave up against ceaseless pain and endure it by the grace of God and cast yourself on him to make it and find him so faithful and I also know what it’s like to just want to scream at the top of your lungs, make it stop! Jesus is merciful. And he is good and kind even if he entrusts us with pain as a thorn in the flesh for the rest of our days. But I want to speak hope into you this morning. I pray for your reprieve. I pray for your relief. I care so much. Keep the faith. Trust in Christ’s tender love and devotion toward you. And know to your bones that one day, one sweet sweet day, there will be no more pain.

Psalm 18 was part of my Bible reading this morning. It’s one of my very favorite psalms but I got to verse 43 & the 1st part of it sent me into considerable thought. “You have freed me from the feuds among the people…” There’s so much I miss about my old life. So much still brings me to tears. So much still so dear and precious to me. Oh mercy, the women I have loved and gotten to serve. But I didn’t realize how utterly exhausting and erosive to the soul the constant feuding in the SBC was till I started recovering from it. Now what you must understand before you characterize all southern Baptist churches by this is that many exist outside the feuding because they either ignore or are uninvolved in convention matters. I have dear friends who still to this day do not understand why I left because they & their SBC churches don’t get into convention politics. I get it. Goodness knows I didn’t mean to get into them. But we are held accountable for knowledge and I was in so deep that I knew too much. I’d like to thank social media for that. I’m pretty much outside that circle these days. Even when I see convention people draw my name into the controversies, I shake my head and whisper, I’m not your girl. I just want to say this morning that being part of constant feuding will cost your soul a fortune that you may not realize you paid until your early grave. I’m not talking now about any denomination or any particular organization. I’m talking in general. It can be inside your home or your workplace or extended family. Or inside your own soul. Maybe you have motivated yourself for years with conflict. You need a fight to keep your blood flowing. It will make you sick, is what I’m trying to say. Constant feuding. It will make you sick not only to be part of it but to try to be the peace keeper in it. I’m not a psychologist. I speak strictly as a fellow person of faith. As a reader of Scripture. We don’t always have to leave an environment to step out of its constant feuding. We can just determine that we’re not going to be part of the poison anymore. Just saying if this speaks to you this morning, I offer Psalm 18:43 as wording for a plea to the Lord. Free me, my Lord and my God, from the feuds among the people. FREE ME before it kills me. The peace of the Lord be with you, my friend. And, boy, do I mean that literally this morning.
