The Balanced collateral pool now holds 10% of the $ICX circulating supply! 🎉 What an incredible milestone to reach after just 16 days. From where we’re standing, the future for Balanced – and ICON – looks pretty bright. ☀️

In just over 50 hours, 10 million Balanced Dollars have already been created. The response has been unreal. Other key stats: TVL (collateral): $63.556 million Borrowers: 1,423 TVL (DEX): $45 million LPs: 358 (sICX/ICX), 966 (sICX/bnUSD), 599 (BALN/bnUSD) Total fees: $ 150.7k

New liquidity pool incoming: BALN / sICX will be listed in 24 hours (around 8pm Pacific). If you supply to this pool, your BALN will earn a share of network fees. If you just want to load up on BALN, you can swap sICX for BALN directly, without needing bnUSD as an intermediary.

Balanced is one month old today. Thanks to the $ICX community, we've already hit some incredible milestones: - 50 hours to create 10,000,000 bnUSD - 12 days to create 25,000,000 bnUSD - 16 days to lock up 10% of the ICX circulating supply And over 10,000 wallets hold $BALN. 💪

Update: We have squashed this bug. Distribution was successful today. The next step is to calculate $BALN owed from previous days and distribute. Please allow us a few days to properly calculate, test, and distribute these rewards. We will follow up regularly with updates.

Airdrop alert 💧💧 The Balanced team just distributed 15,000 $BALN to everyone who supplied liquidity during the first 3 days. Back payment for missing rewards expected to follow by the end of the weekend.

The final day of 100K BALN rewards has been distributed. The total supply is now 6 million. From tomorrow, BALN distribution will decrease by 0.5% each day. The journey to 1,250 BALN a day (below 2% inflation) has begun. 🎉

The Swap section has been enhanced. You can now: - Click to swap your full balance - Reverse the pair - Gauge the price impact - Review the exchange rate and fee in advance - Save the slippage tolerance value

Transaction routing is live. You can now swap between assets in a single trade, even if there's no direct liquidity pool. Balanced will pick the route with the best price, every time.

Balanced gives $ICX a new role: collateral for synthetic assets, like Balanced Dollars. bnUSD is always worth 1 USD, so it’s suitable for payments, grants, and as the default currency for apps on the ICON Network. The more it’s used, the more ICX is removed from circulation...

Over 1 million transactions have now been made on Balanced, resulting in over $2 million in fees. The numbers are on the rise. 🎉

Balanced has been live for just 4 days. Here's how we're tracking so far: Balanced Dollars: 13,770,211 TVL (collateral): $90.3 million TVL (DEX): $65.2 million Borrowers: 1,845 Liquidity providers: 554 (sICX/ICX), 1,241 (sICX/bnUSD), 1,037 (BALN/bnUSD) Total fees: $239.7k

The first vote of the Balanced DAO has ended with a 99.61% approval rate. Over 85% of staked BALN participated. More than $1M of network fees has been split 60/40 between eligible $BALN holders and the DAO fund. Network fees will now be paid out daily.

Before Balanced can take on other DeFi products, it has some competition closer to home: the ICON wallet. Staked ICX earns ~11% a year, but unstaking is high friction: it takes ~7 days and you don’t earn rewards. To encourage action, we had to make Balanced even more appealing.

The Geometry release is scheduled for June 26 (Pacific). This release will include: - Price charts - Transaction history - Statistics page - Network fee vote + distribution functionality We also plan to release a development update each month for greater transparency.

Update: LP Rewards that were owed from the first three days have been successfully backfilled. Unlike the previous airdrop, these rewards are claimable through the Balanced application itself just like the daily $BALN mining rewards. Thank you for your patience and support 🙏

It’s now easier than ever to earn network fees: stake BALN and/or supply it to a liquidity pool. That’s it. BALN stakers are automatically eligible: the requirement to borrow at least 50 bnUSD and stay below the reward threshold has been removed.

Many Balanced users have asked if they are eligible for the $ICE and $ICZ airdrop. All users with ICX or sICX are eligible. This includes liquidity providers and borrowers.

Continuous rewards will be Balanced’s largest upgrade since launch, so the developers are taking care to work through as many scenarios as possible to make sure it will be stable in the mainnet environment. If all goes well, the plan is to deploy the upgrade sometime next week.

Balanced’s main purpose is to create synthetic assets for the ICON ecosystem. Borrowers earn 25% of the daily Balance Tokens, while liquidity providers earn 45%. Why does Balanced reward liquidity providers so highly? And what does it mean to provide liquidity?

51 hours in, 78.56% of staked $BALN have already voted on the network fee proposal. Only 20% was required. Impressive engagement for the first vote of the Balanced DAO. 💪

Update: Due to feedback from the community, we will be increasing the rebalancing fee to two percent. This will lower the incentive to retire bnUSD. We will continue to monitor the bnUSD peg and retirements. Anybody running bots please be aware of the fee change

Updates: 1.) Upgrade: No more gaming the Liquidity Pool rewards Honest LPs only from here on out. The process now includes a 24-hour time-lock after depositing liquidity to avoid people jumping in/out. We are considering alternatives as well to make the system more robust

Attention: An upgrade to a smart contract has temporarily caused the application to halt service. Any transaction that generates a fee is failing. We are exploring the issue and will update as we find out more information. Rest assured, all funds are safe

The message was clear: changes like this must wait for on-chain governance. The Vote page is now a top priority, and we aim to have it ready soon after the Geometry Release. It’ll include a forum, so the community can thoroughly discuss & vet ideas before they're put to a vote.
